Food Lion — Local services in Asheboro

#foodlion long post* I always assumed that a certain Food store chain was a good reputable one until I was the victim of a random accident on their grounds on Monday. They treated me terribly, and here it is Wednesday and I have heard nothing back. Monday morning, I went through the bank atm at the bottom of oakie mountain Food Lion. I pulled forward, parked to put away my items. Looking down at my lap, I was shocked when I looked to my car window and heading down the mountain directly towards me and my car window was a loaded, heavy cart moving very fast. I was shocked, I thought it was going to bust my window, hit my face, or worse. Luckily the cart full of 12 pack sodas hit between my door frames. A loud boom 💥 occurred and drinks started flying all over the parking lot, top of my car. Over my car, boxes shredded to pieces. Landing on top of my car and all. My car is damaged pretty badly, and this is a newer car. Not only was that traumatic, but the older man chasing the cart(his cart) was rude to me and I was trapped in my car until someone removed the cart.

I called Food Lion to ask for assistance, not a soul came. So we go into the store after the man is trying to pick up cans and trash from the impact. They treated me terribly, the officer that came out was not the nicest himself. Finally, at the end, an employee said he witnessed it and it was really loud and awful. I said well why didnt you check on us? Suddenly they want to take my information. Well I have called customer service to complain, and here it is Wednesday and I have heard nothing. Not one single person (including the guy responsible) asked if I was OK. Not one Food Lion Employee even greeted me. The customer Service manager saw me and did not speak. I had to find her and speak to her. This was after requesting a manager 3 times or more already, she watched me walk right by her. DO BETTER FOOD LION. PLEASE SHARE THIS. FOOD LION GROCERY STORE CHAIN I can tell you Walmart has never treated...

Food Lion comes through in a pinch. Today is Monday. I really want a Chinese food. All the Chinese food places were closed or too far away. Went into food Lion. Put together a decent Chinese dinner in the back. They have a refrigerated section with buttered chicken which I know. I know it's Indian but it's delicious. We did sesame chicken (second big hit of the dinner). We did beef and broccoli. We did Mongolian beef. We even did something called pow. Wow! Bau pork and beef (this was the big hit of the dinner). We also did the fresh Express Asian salad which was really good. I would say this is a big improvement on some of the assortment of foods available...

The store was clean an well organized. Prices were low and competitive with other stores in the area. They have a good variety of goods. Most of the employees were knowledgeable and friendly with the exception of one cashier. He was aloof and had some sorr of attitude with an unearned superiority complex. It didnt bother me though because he appeared to be a kid and i got some enjoyment from thinking about reality +/ the real world is gona give him a solid butt kicking haha. I will definitely visit this location the next time the opportunity presents...
