I stopped in this little place where I had never been before just trying to find a good place that was different from my usual menu. When I walked in there were only 2 tables seated so they were not busy at all. I was a little confused because I wasn't sure if I was supposed to seat myself or wait on a hostess to seat me. I waited for a few minutes before I was seated, I was brought a menu pretty quickly and my drink order was taken. When my drink arrived in ample time, I placed my food order. The food was prompt on coming out and was pretty good to be a small place in the middle of Asheboro. While I was eating my meal, the hostess thought it would be appropriate to reach over and restock the condiments on the table when she clearly could have waited to do that until I was gone. I finished my drink and sat with an empty glass for a good bit before being asked if I needed anything, as slow as they were, I should not have had to wait that long for a refill. The atmosphere was ok, the ceiling in the actual restaurant looks like it is about to fall in, the toilet ran continuously so it was difficult to flush, under the sink in the bathroom was a bucket with what looked to be water and a rag in it, not sure what that was for. The hostess and one of the ladies on the wait staff were dressed pretty uniformally, one of the wait staff thought it appropriate to show off her assets by wearing the ever so famous tiktok leggings, she didn't match the other staff members which was not attractive at all. I do not think...
Read moreMy first time going today, the parking lot was pretty full but there was still plenty of seating. As soon as we walked in you can smell pancakes and waffles, which was a good sign. We were seated immediately to a clean table and got our drinks shorty after. The menu has a lot of different options to choose from. I chose breakfast and my fiancé ordered lunch. I got the chorizo/jalapeño/onion omelette which came with a choice of 2 sides AND a choice of pancakes or toast… for $8.99, pretty good deal to me because I took home plenty of leftovers. The omelette was a little over done for my liking but it still had great flavor and I enjoyed it. The pancakes were good, they had some powdered sugar on top which I could have done without, but still tasted good. The food was hot and came out within 10 minutes. My fiancé got the Caesar wrap with fries. I tasted it and it was good, the chicken was a little dry but was still good — the wraps come with a complimentary cup of soup — she chose chicken noodle soup. The broth was amazing and had good flavor; again the chicken was a little dry. Our waitress was attentive and sweet. Also the owner (or manager) came around to every single table in the restaurant and offered coffee refills and checked on customers. Can’t wait to come back and try something new...
Read moreFrom my first visit and experience I noticed the place is very clean. The people are exceptionally nice, and meet you with warm smiles; we had great service. Prices are average for asheboro. The quality of the food was good and what you would expect from a mom pop restaurant. I choose small business restaurants over corporate or franchise restaurants any day. The owners usually take pride and work hard for their business name so typically you get an overall better experience. They have a large menu which I like. We ordered from the breakfast menu. Everything was really good. My children especially liked the Mickey Mouse pancake, and the smiley face pancake (it makes the experience a little special and fun for the kids) and my other child liked the French toast. I like the fact she had a choice of fresh strawberry topping as it is a healthier choice. I had Nutella crepes and poached eggs with bacon. Delicious. We will be...
