Phillips Bros Country/Ham — Local services in Asheboro

At the last minute, my mother who cooks a country ham every year, who usually buys one through a large grocery store, could not locate one this year.

After calling around she found one that she could purchase online and have it shipped for $179.

Even that one if she was willing to pay she missed the deadline anyway but did not want to pay that amount.

I did a Google search for country ham and Greensboro and Phillips Brothers came up in Asheboro.

I called them and they said in fact they had several remaining of various sizes.

They also offered me sliced if that was my preference.

I called in the morning and had plenty of time to get there. Then the day was much more hectic than I expected and I didn't call again until after 5:00. And I asked whether they had any left they said they did and I said I could come there but I was going to get very close to their closing time.

The incredibly cordial staffer said don't worry they'll still be working they're just going to close the retail at 6:00 therefore I was able to handle one or two other things and take my time getting there which I got there around 6:30. That is 30 minutes after the retail close.

At first someone in the adjacent attached operation said they were closed but then I told them that they said come anyway and then they said oh okay and located the appropriate door that I was described to find and went in and found the person I had spoken with on the phone.

She came out and hosted me from that point forward all the way through check out the process. She was both incredibly hospitable and completely efficient and effective and left me 100% satisfied and glad that I had made the drive.

Finally mission accomplished Mom got her ham to prepare for the 50th plus...

Located right here in Asheboro on Fayetteville. Country store vibes for sure. If you think it's a butcher shop well it's not... They order their ham in and bacon and all of the stuff that's in the store. The sausage is put together on site so I did pick up some sausage. I'm looking forward to seeing how...

I buy the sausage,,and sometimes other products,,but I'm wondering why there is no expiration date stamped,or printed on any of the sausage,,not any of the packs available in the local store here,had an expiration date on it,,isn't this a FDA...
