This was honestly the most horrific and traumatic visit to a store. I generally do not go into stores like this MAINLY because I am āwelcomedā with prejudice and just down right snobby people. But a friend of mine wanted to get me a formal dress for our cruise and wanted to check out Dillards because she is a loyal shopper there and they had a sale. From the start we were followed by the manager Payton is her name. When we got to the dressing rooms the two ladies there were acting very suspicious of us when we just wanted to try on dresses. When we finished up in the dressing rooms the lady yelled saying āTHERE IS SUPPOSED TO BE 8 ITEMSā I let her know they were all here and when she recounted there was indeed all total 8 items. When we got to the register my mom asked for the manager because she wanted her items to be held, the manager said that was fine. Our friend that was with us had put a item ON TOP of her personal bag and the manager accused her of āconcealmentā and told her āyou are now band from the storeā not only was that a stupid and ridiculous accusation but the item was on sale for 5 bucks.. you would think if someone was trying to steal it would be of more value lol. On top of all of that once we left the store the little mall security guard FOLLOWED her out to try and get her license plate.. as if she stole something and was trying to leave the store with it. I truly believe this was racially motivated because I am black and Mexican and my sister along with my mother are Mexican. We were treated wrongly through this whole experience and didnāt even get to buy the clothes we did indeed intend to buy. We are not just leaving this at a review weāre going to take further action because we were wronged based by our looks. And to you Ms. Store manager of 15 years, Payton, I hope you are enjoying your sad and bored life because hate will get you nowhere. Iām a minor btw.. so thanks for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreToday, shopping at Dillards, I witnessed something horrendous and agitating. There were a group of woman shopping and minding their own business, picking out clothes, and trying on clothes. I was shopping in the same section they were in and I noticed another woman in uniform following/being super observant over them. When the girls came out of the dressing room, the woman following them made herself known and started accusing them of attempting to steal merchandise. They responded very calmly and said they were doing no such and they were just trying on clothes. The woman, who was accusing them, was the general manager of the store, was very persistent about their attempt to steal, and had a security guard follow them around. I later saw the security walk them outside to their car and this started a heated discussion between the parties. The girls were NOT trying to steal neither had no malicious intentions. I am very upset that they had to go through this and upset this happened at a store I go to often. I apologize to the girls and hope this didnāt ruin your day. FYI, they were of color and I donāt know if this made them targets of this type of accusation. I will NOT be coming back because I choose not to support such acts and hope management of this store changes very...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOnly once did I go wrong here. It was my fault. I didn't pay attention to the size of my purchase. It was too small for me.
However, if you're in need, the variety is almost endless. Just be sure of your size. There is a no return policy. Roundtree & York, and Gold Label are my two favorite brands. Their sizes fit like a charm.
As for the store, the racks can get overcrowded, but for the savings, I can live with that. Any given time, there could be a larger discount on top of the discount already in place. A few years ago, I purchased a suit from the D.C.C., and at the end of my purchase, I paid around $160. Altogether, I would've paid better than $600 had I purchased the suit outright.
Discounts for top dollar clothing. If you're vigilant enough, you will be amazed by what you can save on purchases. Sure it's discounts, but get over yourself if you have the luxury of paying top dollar just to brag to your friends on your wealth. Brag for once how much you saved by going to Dillard's...
