I am disappointed to write this review, but I must share that unfortunately we were promised that Matt would allow us a 30 day sleep trial with our purchase, and he did not follow through on that. He assured us at the time of purchase that if that mattresses for our split king didn't work out, he would give us a credit towards something else in the store. He offered that freely to us while we considered our purchase options.
After two nights of trying to sleep on the mattresses we had purchased, I quickly realized two things: 1) The mattress I received was significantly more firm than what I tried in the store, and I wasn't able to get comfortable enough even to break it in. 2) The split king set up was not what we expected.
I stopped in the store and talked to his wife who seemed willing to fulfill the promise made to swap out the mattresses for a store credit for something else. I then called Matt to talk about the option he offered us, desiring to return the two twin XLs for one single king in the style my husband had. His response was unprofessional, aggressive, rude, and emotional. I was shocked by his outburst when I was simply asking him to provide the service that he offered to us at the time of purchase. At one point he told me to "go talk to my husband and see what we think is fair". As a woman, I was quite offended by that remark. He also retorted that he would lose $1000 - I explained that we spent $3000+ on something that didn't work for us, and that I wouldn't have made the purchase had he not assured us we'd be able to get an alternative with store credit if it didn't work out. He made about $700 on our sale.
He said he was willing to only swap out one of our mattresses, not both, and as we were all heading out of town for a time, we agreed to talk the next week. I didn't hear from him, and I was also taking a little time to consider all of our options before making another call. I wasn't wanting to deal with more drama or negative reply.
We allowed some time to pass over our busy summer schedule, and my husband attempted a couple of phone calls, leaving one message with no reply. As we have not heard back, it is clear that Matt is unwilling to reach resolution. Sadly, we are left with an awkward bed situation, two unused mattresses propped up against our wall that we are trying to sell for a pittance of what we paid, and frustrated over being lied to.
I have purchased three other mattresses from this business in the past for my children (twin pillow tops) and never had a problem before. Unfortunately, being a repeat customer does not ensure that you will get good service.
If a resolution is ever made, I will update my review, but I feel that buyers have a right to be aware of who they are...
