So beginning of June 2022, I had a guy named Tasa cut my hair, I asked for a drop fade, dude gave my an uneven high fade instead. I got so many comments from friends and family that this barber did not take their time with my fade⦠But you know, I shrugged it off cause itās just hair, itāll grow back⦠Three weeks later I decided Iād go to the same spot, but different barber. I chose the barber Justin this time. I asked for another drop fade but to keep the top since I was planning on getting my hair permed the following week. I guess he missed that memo because he kept some parts of my hair on the upper sides untouched that honestly could have been trimmed off - it is impossible to perm 1 inch long hair at a salon btw⦠I just didnāt get the point of him not trimming that off to create a good transition from short to long hair⦠Asian hair does not stay down, it sticks up and out, so now I have an awkward ring of hair just protruding out around my head⦠Also, Iām pretty sure he gave me a high fade cause the upper top of the back of my head is really short, when itās suppose to be longer. To top it off, I came home finding that there were patches of long hair on my neck (bottom of the fade), as well as behind my ears where the fade is suppose to fadeā¦
Yeah⦠I am not coming back. This was a mess. But hey, if youāre into uneven cuts and you like listening to weird locker room talk, by all means this is...

The most glaring issue at Starz is the lack of quality in the haircuts, especially given the high prices charged For a kid haircut priced at $37, it is expected that the service should reflect a high standard of craftsmanship. Unfortunately, this is not the case. The haircuts severely lack attention to detail, making it hard to justify these steep prices! This, to me, suggests a lack of pride in the work being done by some of them, which is unacceptable considering the premium prices.
The atmosphere is far from family-friendly, with explicit rap music playing, which is inappropriate for a shop with children present.
While some in the barbershop seem to be quick to complain about customer cancellations and no shows they fail to acknowledge some of them overbooking leading to long waits beyond your scheduled appointment times, showing a lack of respect for your' time. This lack of professionalism is unacceptable in any business, particularly one that relies on repeat clientele.
**FYI: If any availability is wide open on their schedule, it's a red flag expect subpar service. The lack of pride in their craft is evident, leaving me questioning how experienced some of the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIn response to Stephanieās reply of my initial review, I want to clarify a few things. I was told my appointment was being canceled because Stephanie had a migraine, not because of an issue with her child. (See text message below) I was working as a tv news reporter, which Stephanie knew. I like my hair to look a certain way on air, which is why I asked if it was ok to bring my own products, and she told me it was fine. Stephanie also joked about the type of hair product I used in front of me to her coworker. If she bothered to read the label of the hair product, she would have seen there is no alcohol in the curling custard. In reference to the hair breakage, it was because of going to Stephanie. While going to her, I went to another hair stylist once, because Stephanie was ignoring my texts and calls to schedule another appointment. One visit to another stylist did not cause the severe...
