If I could give zero starts to this establishment I would. We called them to diagnose an electrical problem with a kitchen light that kept blinking. The guy came and promptly decided that it was a faulty fixture, and since he had only been at our house ten minutes, and was going to charge us for a full hour, told us he would go to Home Depot and get us a new fixture (return our old one) and install it for us. So he comes back the next day, with a very ugly, very cheap fixture, and installs it. The light does not blink, it appears fixed. I tell my husband, this fixture isnt my style, lets take it down and get another, so he takes the fixture down, and when he does so, one of the wires literally comes off in his hand, because it was hanging by a thread -- the wire was half broken, hence the blinking of the fixture. The original fixture wasnt bad at all, this guy just doesnt know how to diagnose an electrical problem, and apparently didnt notice or care that the wire was half broken (incidentally a huge fire risk) and just jiggled everything around and hooked it back up and charged us over $100. We asked him to come back when we discovered the wire and he arrived with a very bad attitude, and then told me that my husband had broken the wire when he was removing the fixture (which he did not, it had been hanging by tape basically) and that he wasnt going to fix it, and that he had already wasted enough time on us. I will NEVER use Wadsworth again, and I will make sure that everyone I know is made aware of their...
Read moreMixed reviews: The Craftsman were quick to arrive and quick to accomplish the task they were hired to do, however this companies billing practice's are in my opinion quite shady. When I called for service, the guy that answered the phone told me they charged $149 an hour. The Technician(s) arrived completed their work and were gone in less than 45 minutes. The bill came back at $669.20. They used a total of 3 wire nuts from their stock supply and they charged me for 2 Journeyman Electricians for 2 hours, even though the second technician did nothing more than hand the other a couple of wire nuts, retrieve a meter and hand the other Clorox wipes to clean their tools. I would expect to pay for the one hour minimum and even one hour for an Apprentice (or the Apprentice rate). But 2 hours for both and then the up charge on the .25 cent parts is over the top. I talked to the billing department and was informed that this is their standard practice for "hazardous jobs" (It was a septic pump). I won't be...
Read moreI called to ask them to install a line for a hot tub. They said they could start the next week and took a $300.00 deposit to start. They came out the following week I drove 2.5 hours to meet them. One guy shows up and looks at the job and tells me he is too busy and he told me it would be an outrageous number because he didn’t want to do the job. He suggested I call someone else as he was “ too busy”. I called the office and asked for my $300.00 deposit back but they refused. I should have realized with all the negative reviews on them that this wasn’t the right company to hire. I will follow up with other agencies and take them to small claims court. Don’t hire this company super dissatisfied with how they handled this.
Update** 3/3/21 They issued a token $40 refund. I am filing a small claims lawsuit and reporting them the Electrical...
