The big girl serving out the custard yesterday should have just stayed home w/ her ugly attitude, and blatant desire to not want to work. Heck I had fast food jobs when I was younger, I get that it can suck but there’s no excuse for her sloppy and unhygienic work ethics. I’ve come here in the past when they would fill the cup with ample custard but she’d barely fill the plastic cup half way if you ordered a small, with a large she’d provide custard the size of a Yoplait yogurt for comparison.

At one point right after putting the topping on, she spills the entire cup on the floor, gets visibly frustrated and goes on re-making a sloppier second cup w/ half melted custard and her finger touches the custard this time but she just hands it off to the customer like nothing happened. Honestly that’s super filthy and the biggest reason that compelled me to leave this review.

Luckily her fingers didn’t touch my custard but I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s the type of person that would spit in a customer’s meal because she’s the one having a bad day. Even when asking her for a second spoon and saying ‘thank you’ to her, she didn’t mutter a word, stared, and acted like I was interrupting her. I don’t get people who act like this but unless things change, I would not recommend this business, as it lacks consistency & hygiene at the hands of...

Didn't get the chance to even order food here. Our friend had broken their wrist earlier in the day and we had walked from the hospital to here. We had gotten domino's and were trying to find a place to sit and get my sister food as well since she didn't want domino's. The two of us only sat down to rest a moment and figure out what we were doing for only a minute before a lady came out and bluntly asked if we were going to order food or something. Fair enough, I was planning on doing that. However when I got up there to order, a few minutes later the same lady came to the counter and told me I don't need to order anything and to just go. Said we can't eat "other people's food". Even though I was planning to order from there. Found out later she did the same thing to my sister before she came to me, told my sister she was being rude. She was condescending and rude to us, barely gave us a chance to order food or anything, we just wanted to eat and relax after a very stressful day. I'm sure the food is delicious, won't ever be trying it. Not once were we rude, we apologized multiple times and never matched her attitude. I recommend a little more patience and humility, life is too short to be so bitter...

I'm sure the food is absolutely amazing, I wish I could've gotten the chance to try it before being pretty much kicked out. My sister and I had a pretty rough day, exhausted and hungry we sat down for a moment with some food from another restaurant (with the complete intention of ordering food from here as well, I understand etiquette). Not even a minute later an older woman comes out of the building and asks us if we were going to order. I was very apologetic as I tried to explain that yes, we were going to go up and order food. She leaves, and then returns again and proceeds to call me rude. I apologized repeatedly and asked if she would like us to leave. She mumbles some more and I give up and say "I'm sorry, we'll take a hike if you'd like". I meet up again with my sister and she tells me the woman completely turned her away. I don't regret being polite the entire time, I'd rather spread some kindness than bitterness. But I certainly don't regret writing this review to try and warn people of this behavior.

To that woman- You don't know what's happening in someone's life, show...

We made a special trip out to Astoria just for Custard King. If you know about this little gem you know they’re serving up some of the best burgers and custard in town! We ordered the kids meals with hamburgers, a bacon cheese burger and the PNW burger. The PNW is a Monster of a burger with onion rings, bacon, pepper jack cheese, house made bbq sauce, pickles and lettuce. You cant leave without ordering a cone or two and a chocolate dipped cone for good measure. They have shakes, floats and a huge list of toppings for your custard. So good! #astoria #astoriaoregon #hamburger #hamburgers #custard #icecream #fries #onionrings #burgerjoint #burgerjoints #pnw #pnwlife #foodtiktok #foodtiktokfood #foodie #pnwfoodie #pnwadventures #pnwadventure #pnwlifestyle #pnwlife🌲🌲🍁🍂🌷 #pnwliving #oregon #oregonian #oregonians #oregonianlife #foodie #foodies #foodreel #foodporn #foodielife #burgerlover #custardicecream

Quaint lil place off of highway 30 (Marine Drive) The quality is always amazing, the staff even friendlier. Even the birds seem to enjoy finding scraps from left behind meals from memories past. Nothin beats the custard except maybe the fish or the fries or the shrimp or the tots or the burgers or the sandwiches or actually nah the custard is the best thing here no doubt. But the non sweet items are pretty tasty too. A true gem in the wall, perfect for sharing. Or if sharing isn’t your thing you could totally hide here if you need a tiiiiny break from your family vacation. Ya feel me? OH almost forgot to mention that if you are REAL lucky you could have an encounter with THE Custard King himself, pudgy little man made out of custard that slops off while he moves and talks. Super neat experience, almost missed the opportunity too. Afternoon at exactly 2:34pm MAYBE 2:36pm is your best bet in experiencing King Custard himself. Real nice guy, huge sweet tooth. 10/10 recommend.
