Musician's Warehouse — Local services in Athens-Clarke County Unified Government

One of the best music stores I’ve been to, hands down. From the experienced and knowledgeable staff to the vast selection and wide variety of music equipment and instruments this place really blew me away!

I’m road tripping with my gf at the moment and needed a piece of gear to round out my road kit, I was looking for a small head for my rig that I could record through and found an orange micro dark at this wonderful store. Not knowing too much about the product I didn’t have to stand there long before an employee approached me and answered my questions like he built the thing. I wanted to buy it on the spot.

There was a minor glitch in the machine (probably my chip to be honest) and believe it or not the owner was there within 5 minutes to resolve the problem, these guys really care about their customers and it shows in their customer care and above and beyond service. The owner (Ed) even took some cash off the final price (it was already marked down from Msrp) for the trouble.

I’ve been to music stores from Nashville to Miami to La and Phoenix and this one stands out as one of the best experiences I’ve had, I even drove back to the shop later that day (out of the way from my destination) just to buy a cable!

Next time in in Athens I know where to go for a friendly, knowledgeable and flat out amazing music store visit.

THIS IS THE PLACE! Athens is a music town and it's very fortunate to have Musicians Warehouse! For over 2 decades ( wow ! ) Ed & the guys have been taking care of all of my musical needs. Picks & pedals, straps & strings, drumsticks & acoustics, cymbals & cables, metronomes & Honeytones...on & on. Ed is truly one of a kind. A genuine great guy. He & his staff ( shout out to Ian & Brian! ) are knowledgeable, friendly & very helpful. There's no one there just blindly pushing products. Ed recently went out of his way to find a part for my older, broken Fender acoustic. Not only did he find the part, he had it repaired for me too! I am a wedding musician, and I was placed in charge of bringing sound equipment to the venue. After a bit of research, I decided on Musician’s Warehouse. I’d bought a few things from them before and they’d always been helpful and knowledgeable.

I rented their PA system — an 8-channel Peavy Mixer that came with two large speakers, and included all the stands, cables, etc. — as well as two corded microphones. The price was significantly less than I was expecting. The gear itself was in pristine condition, and the setup was plug-and-play. Two of the workers even helped me load and unload all the gear into my truck. I couldn’t have asked for a smoother, simpler, friendlier, or more reasonably priced experience, start to finish. Definitely plan to use them again...
