I don't do negative reviews much at all. As an ex GM of restaurants, I normally give them one more chance and then just stop going. I need to put this one out there bc not only was it a terrible experience but management(the GM- Asian lady to confirm for you) absolutely butchered it and could've saved it tbh. Long story short, here we go. Had 4 people at a booth, she took our drinks, brought the waters first, then the bar drinks. Took our food order next, and we asked for bread. Everything is going smooth so far. Asked a food runner for bread 5 minutes later, and we ended up getting it. So, about 20 minutes after our food order was taken, food started coming out. We got 3 meals on the first tray and figured the last meal was coming as a one-hand follow.. Nope, about 3-4min later, the young lady came to see if we needed anything, and we told her that we were missing a med-rare steak with broccoli and a sweet potato. She was very apologetic and came back to tell us she just forgot to enter it in the computer. Hey, you know what? It happens, and we appreciated her honesty at the very least. So, this is where the biggest failures came in! A mid-rare ribeye should take MAYBE 3-5min to cook and the sides are even faster! So about 10-12min later the server FINALLY brings the ribeye! The rest of us have eaten our 3 meals and that WHOLE time of waiting we didn't see our server OR manager ONCE!! You could tell she was scared to come back to the table bc she knew she messed up. We were super cool and understanding but she seemed newer so my experience tells me she was nervous to come back until she had the steak. As a manager, I would've gone to the table, apologized, and let us know that when that steak is ready that I will personally run it to you! Then I'd let the kitchen staff or the expo as well. So either my chef or myself would've ran that steak. And OBVIOUSLY it would've been taken off of the check!! Instead, we asked for the check, and it was on there! So I asked someone if we could talk to a manager. The lady(GM) comes by the table and tells us that she meant to take it off and forgot. Now look, I don't want any free handouts ok!! Make that very clear! HOWEVER, I always made sure to give out a $25 gift card or something for our mistakes as a staff!! Maybe it was a dessert if it wasn't a huge mistake. But either way, I'd feel out the table and the situation and hook them up while making them feel really good about it while owning the mistake and telling them that we were going to get better at it. Why you ask? Bc I knew that if they left mad, there was a high chance they weren't coming back, or if they did, it would've been with much less frequency! But giving them the free gift card or dessert, that would've not only made then feel good but it would've brought them back sooner. And with a newer steak house open down the street within the last year and a lot of other good food spots around, you can't afford to lose customers from mistakes and bad management on top of it! I always made sure to create relationships with every table in my restaurant, NO MATTER WHAT IT TOOK!! That was something I made sure to do in order to reduce incidents like this!! Needless to say, I won't be going back to this location which sucks bc it is really...
Read moreTexas Roadhouse is a beloved chain known for its hearty fare and vibrant atmosphere, making it a go-to spot for many seeking a great dining experience. Recently, I had the pleasure of enjoying a fantastic dinner there, and I must share the highlights of the evening.
Ambiance: As soon as we entered Texas Roadhouse, we were greeted with the warm and inviting ambiance typical of a classic American steakhouse. The rustic decor, complete with wooden walls, cowboy memorabilia, and the signature peanut shells scattered across the floor, instantly put us in a relaxed mood. Country music played softly in the background, adding to the lively environment.
Service: Our experience was propelled by the excellent service we received. Our server was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. She greeted us promptly, ensuring we felt comfortable and helped us navigate through the extensive options.
Appetizers: We started our meal with their famous "Texas Rose" (aka, the blooming onion) and the Spinach and Artichoke Dip. The blooming onion was perfectly fried, with a crispy exterior that gave way to tender, flavorful onion petals. It was served with a tangy dipping sauce that complemented the savory taste beautifully. The Spinach and Artichoke Dip was equally delightful, creamy, and rich, served with warm, crispy tortilla chips that were perfect for scooping.
Main Course: For the main course, I ordered the “Road Kill” (a chopped steak topped with sautéed onions, mushrooms, and melted jack cheese), while my dining companion opted for the 12 oz ribeye. My chopped steak was cooked to perfection, juicy, and packed with flavor, the toppings adding just the right amount of zest. The ribeye, seasoned generously and grilled to a perfect medium rare, melted in the mouth. Each bite was tender and flavorful, embodying the essence of what a great steak should be.
Sides: Texas Roadhouse offers an impressive selection of sides, and we certainly took advantage of that! We ordered the loaded baked potato and seasoned rice. The baked potato was large and fluffy, with plenty of toppings, including butter, sour cream, cheese, bacon bits, and chives. The seasoned rice was a delightful surprise—perfectly cooked with just a hint of spice.
Dessert: We couldn’t resist finishing our meal with dessert, so we shared a slice of their legendary Chocolate Brownie. The brownie was warm, rich, and decadent, topped with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream and drizzled with chocolate sauce. It was the ideal ending to a satisfying meal.
Overall Experience: In summary, dining at Texas Roadhouse was a delightful experience from start to finish. The combination of exceptional service, a vibrant atmosphere, delicious food, and generous portions made for a memorable evening. Whether you're looking for a casual dinner with family or a celebration with friends, Texas Roadhouse delivers an authentic and inviting dining experience that keeps you coming back for more. I can't wait for...
Read moreWant to say first we adored our server. She was not the problem at all. We went out for a last minute dinner and waiting roughly 10 minutes for a table which wasn’t bad for 7:15 pm on a Sunday. My fiancé and I both ordered steaks. He got a rare 16 ounce sirloin and I got a 12 ounce medium NY strip. Just want to say we were severely disappointed in our food. My broccoli was hard and stale tasting and our steaks were wrong all across the board. My partners steak was blue when he ordered rare. And my steak tasted and looked like the wrong cut. My steak coming out looking like a ribeye and when I asked our waitress she agreed and told me it looked like a ribeye as well. I ordered the strip cause I hate excessive fat and gargle on my steaks, we also waited roughly 35 minutes for our food. The server came back and stated that the kitchen manager told her it was a ribeye. When I told her it didn’t taste like one my only option was to keep the steak that I couldn’t eat much of due to the excessive fat, or they could get me a different one. I kept the one due to me not wanting to wait 30 minutes for a new steak. My partner did not notice his was blue until he ate a few pieces. He wasn’t going to complain, but our server walked by and noticed his was not cooked considering he ordered rare not blue. That’s was an easy fix, the server let us know that the manager would deliver his food. When she arrived I wasn’t mean by any means, I have worked in the food industry for years. But she was a younger women with black hair and she was insanely rude. She got aggressive with me when I told her my steak was mostly fat and severely disappointing ( also was not 12 ounces). And she snapped back and said that when they cut the end of the strip it can look like a ribeye. I let her know it was still cooked incorrectly and just was a crappy cut of steak. Just annoyed cause we paid 60 bucks for one of the worst steak dinners. I don’t recommend getting a NY strip unless you want the wrong cut of meat and a nasty attitude manager to...
