I normally do not get this upset at a store..enough to want to call the state attorneys office or even the better business bureau and I have never had any problem with them til now but I bought a washer from them and seeing as I did not want to wait to match them I and my dryer was old I contacted them to get a better deal to get a washer and matching dryer well they had the washer but would have to get the dryer now she thought she could call around to one of the stores and get one and she did find one so when I went in to pay my payment on the two I asked about it as no one had seemed to call me as I told them I had to get rid of the old dryer before they could bring in the new one..ok they said no problem but when I asked them she said oh it will be about a week before we can get that here so I thought no problem 1 week turned to 2 and 2 turned into 3 and 3 well it was time to go make another payment on the dryer I did not have they never seem to keep the same people no one knows what another person is doing..now I believe if they had a problem that they should have contacted me to see what I wanted to do...but no I never heard another thing from them til I went in I live 2 0 min away and I do not feel it is my responsibility for me to call or contact them so I again asked about my dryer and I said that I have made a payment on oh your not making a payment well I knew I had til she looked up and saw I had well she said it was on the truck it took them 4 weeks to get from another store or order it and no call was made to me I also took two different discount coupons in to be used one I had done a survey and one was just a discount well she could only take off one she did not know what the other one was and the manager would have to deal with it...but took my coupon anyway..i could have bought if I had only known the same set for 499 dollars at another store and it would have already been delivered set up and I could have already gotten rid of my old one is this anyway to run a business if I had treated people at my old job like this I would have been chewed up one side and down the other and of course there was no one to talk to I already found out the manager was not there I have called the number they suggest I have wrote more than once a e mail and have never heard from them again I live on a fixed income so what I pay out I expect to have and I can see I am not the only one who has problems with this store and I know some who have problems with other stores...so it must be a company thing..but it is the peoples choice to treat people how they would like to be treated btw I still have not got my cord for my I pad they promised me it has been ordered they ordered the wrong one I have some at home I will bring in yadda yadda yadda I have heard them all...this cord was ordered when I still had a warranty and the extended warranty...
Read moreTo Whom it may concern, I am contacting you regarding a transaction with your Rent2Own in Athens, OH. that involves my elderly, disabled, recent cancer survivor mother in law Ellen Mitchell. She was in your store in June 2013 and signed a contract to which she never received a copy of to rent to own a new riding lawn mower. The person who wrote it up should be on file. This sales person informed her that she would be getting a loaner mower until a new one could come in stock. She accepted delivery of a mower that was bent on the deck and on the front wheel. She told the delivery people which should also be on file. "I do not want a used mower I am renting to own a new one." The gentleman again said that this was a loaner mower that when she paid more on her loan and when it became available that she would get the new one and they would haul it away. When she would pay she also inquired on the new mower. They told her to be patient and she would get it. She also rent 2 owned a TV through your company that did come new out of the box. At the time of delivery on that it was the same delivery people and she asked about the mower. They told her to call and check because it should have been in. The whole time she would pay she asked about the new one. We went in to check on the balance with her the day after she got released from the nursing home and pay on the mower and TV. I asked how much longer she had before she incurred the finance charges. They said is she paid it off that day she would avoid that. I ask when would the new mower come. Again I don't remember that guy name but that should be on file. He said since it was paid off the new mower should be here anytime. I ask him to setup a delivery when stock and the weather would permit. She waited patiently and no one got back with her. Today I have been told that we purchased the bent up mower you sent. AT NO TIME DID SHE THINK SHE WAS BUYING A USED MOWER. This is where the BBB steps in and calls this a bait and switch. The regional manager asked me for written items saying it was supposed to be new. She entered your agreement, paid for her bills in the faith that she was getting what everyone told her she was getting a new lawn mower. I have offered two options to your local manager and the regional. Option 1: your company upholds the agreement entered with Ellen Mitchell or you come and get your used lawn mower and refund her in full. The customer service skills of the individuals I dealt with today are in dire need of attention. The verbiage that your sales people use needs to be reviewed. They ALL represented your company in...
Read moreIf I could give this zero stars I would. This store is an absolute joke. All the employees are rude! Everytime talk to any of the employees they don't listen to what we say, make rude comments, and are just flat out inconsiderate. If you are less than 24 hours late on a payment, they will harass you until you pay. We have bought a bedroom set, couch and love seat, and a phone. When we bought the bedroom set, we bought everything except the mattress outright. It took them a MONTH to get the set to our home. And before we got the set, they requested a payment. We were harassed the whole time we still owed on the mattress. Then we decided to give them a second chance and bought a phone and couch/love seat combo. The phone was junk. They replaced because we had insurance on it. The replacement was junk as well. They now say we have to pay $50 extra to replace it because the insurance doesn't cover what's wrong with it. What's the point in having insurance then? We recently had them take the couch and love seat back because they were pre-owned with rips in them (I was not against pre-owned at all and didn't really care about the rips because you couldn't hardly tell) and they wanted to charge full price for them! That was about $1500 for a pre-owned damaged set. We were told when they brought the set to us that they would only cost us about $700. These people lie, harass, and rip everyone off. Employees call and impersonate other employees. They claim they've never talked to you before, then a month later they just so happen to "recall" a conversation you had. Like I said in the beginning, this store is a joke. It either needs a brand new set of employees that are trained properly...
