TLDT; if you know exactly what you want and need it NOW swing in, they may have it. Otherwise save time, support local, and go somewhere else.
Came in for the "soft" opening May 25. I believe it was the manager talked a lot about now knowing the local market "we're from Boise and Nampa and are now trying to figure out the market up here since it's so different from where we come from." I was unable to find any local brands including Tedder, Gunfighters Inc, or any G9 ammo. Speaking of ammo, Dave a couple bucks and head to Bi-mart in Rathdrum, center target, Cabela's, or Blacksheep. Almost across the board their ammo prices were $1 or more per box. They did seem to have a pretty good selection of firearms and the couple I spit checked were in the ballpark of everyone else. They also seemed to have a pretty decent selection of AR "stuff" including some high end charging handles and dipped patterned AR mags. There are still a lot of empty shelves and wall space. Unfortunately the 3 people I asked for assistance weren't knowledgeable on the items I asked about including the "manager" who said he'd been with the company for 10 years. The other 2 seemed new and that's excusable especially for a...
Read moreThey advertised a $100 rough rider revolver and had a limited inventory.. Rather than a 1 per customer, we stood in line while people bought between 2 and 5 of them, causing the inventory to run out by the time we got up.. we were 5th in line and didn't get one. Very disappointed in the grand opening sale, and stood in line for over 30 minutes for absolutely nothing. The bald guy behind the counter had no apology and didn't seem to care about anything as he was on his phone the entire time he was behind the counter.
In response to your reply.. There were 10 on the shelf and that bald guy told everyone that was all you had in stock. I'd suggest letting him go due to his incompetence and horrible demeanor.. I won't be returning and I'll be suggesting to anyone to do the same. I'll buy my guns from Black Sheep, North 40, or any other gun store. I was impressed with the knowledge and customer service of all other employees but that guy has ruined my experience in your store. If I catch wind that he's gone, I'll consider bringing my buisness back to you, until then, I hope you the best, and good luck bringing in buisness with him...
Read moreWas in there Wednesday morning. Always test gun shop integrity with trade in value without customer input (aka how willing are they to rip you off?) They offered pawn shop trade in values. $100 for a SW 638 (sells used for $325-400) $125 for a mossberg 500 with a holosun 507C and streamlight HG (just the holosun is $269, not mentioning the shotgun or HG) and $400 for a beretta M9A4 (a $1100 gun new that sells used for $800-900)
I was never rude and only asked where they were getting their pricing and if they were giving 30% of what they’ll sell it for (most gun shops do 60-70%) but When I said that was low the manager said “that’s why I asked you what you wanted out of it” for me this is a test of integrity… when I said I’d be taking my business elsewhere he said “wonderful” a less than stellar response.
Their used prices aren’t very competitive and they’re willing to lowball trade ins. Not a business I’d plan to trust in the future. Hope they turn things around because I want them to do well like...
