I want to start this review by saying that the food here was absolutely fantastic. That being said, I feel like tandoori grill is having an identity crisis. They can't decide if they're a food truck or sit-down restaurant if they want to stay or if they want to go. The old food truck is sitting in the parking lot with the open sign blinking. The inside hasn't been changed since. This was the Bayview by bar and grill. The decor is almost identical to what it was before. The service was good when they were at the tables. It seemed overall like the service was just like the food truck. Was. Everyone in the back until they needed to bring food out and then they remembered that they had people sitting at tables waiting for food. That being said, it wasn't a bad experience, it just isn't a normal sit-down restaurant experience. As I started by saying the food was absolutely amazing. I had a rice shrimp dish, the shrimp was cooked perfectly. To the shrimp juicy the rice was very flavorful and just the amount of spice for medium heat. The spice built in your mouth to a certain point and then maintained that point. Never getting too hot but keeping you on the edge of sweating. We also had a beef dish with a sauce that was phenomenal. Large chunks of extremely tender meat with a fantastic caramelized flavor in the sauce. Even the white rice was outstanding. It had good flavor and was cooked perfectly. I think after some time a little more investment on the interior and in processes and procedures to get serving down and dealing with people in a restaurant. This definitely could be a five-star establishment. Absolutely worth going. Also, something to keep in mind if you've never been to an Indian style restaurant before this food is meant to be served family style. A lot of the entrees don't include rice or naan bread. Order a little bit of everything. They bring you nice large plates so you can try a little bit of it all and enjoy all of the different flavors that they have to offer. Please do visit!

It was a pleasure to dine at Tandooris. My wife and I ordered beef & lamb curry. I know curries having been born in Southeast Asia and Tandoori's curry is excellent - rich and flavorful. The meat was generous and tender. What particularly impressed us was the obvious attention to detail in the dishes. In the authentic Basmati rice included with our meal, which had the longest rice grains I have ever seen, some over 1/2 inch long!, was mixed green cardamom seeds, which added a special flavorful touch. The garlic naan bread was thoughtfully and flavorfully garnished. It was obvious to us that the chef takes pride in his work! The rice pudding with coconut with which we ended our meal was also enjoyable. We also appreciated was the quiet atmosphere, well-suited to a pleasant experience of eating and conversation. I see they also serve roti, which we will have to try later. We appreciated the friendly attentiveness of our server who cheerfully and valiantly sought to answer our inquiries. Keep in mind that their menu is quite varied and extensive so give it a good examination or you might miss ordering something delicious! There are helpful pictures of the dishes posted on the window outside which might help decide for those unfamiliar with Indian cuisine. I thought the sign over the men's urinal was quite humorous! Somebody has a sense of humor at Tandooris!

Hidden Gem! Menu has so many selections we couldn't decide so we decided leftovers are always good and ordered several items. The Vegetable Samosas were so good! The Chicken tiki masala, Chicken coconut curry and Eggplant from the vegetarian section were all amazing! They have a 9 different naans to choose from, we had plain plus garlic, pesto, and Kashmiri, all were amazing but definitely try the Kashmiri! We're definitely coming back to try more of the menu!

My husband and I tried Tandoori Grill today for the first time and left very satisfied. The food is excellent, the service very caring, the restaurant is clean and spacious, the menu extensive and the prices are reasonable. We are overjoyed to have such wonderful, authentic Indian food so close to home in Athol!

The chai was just right: well spiced, piping hot and sweetened a touch.

We ordered Butter Chicken, Aloo Gobi, and Garlic Naan. We only ordered 3 star spicy to test their spice level and it had a mild heat as you would expect. We do like it spicy so next time we will order 4 star spice level. The portions are plentiful and we brought home leftovers.

This will be a regular stop for us! Please support this yummy local...
