Just when I thought I wouldn't find a great Soul Food Restaurant in a convenient location.... The Soul Kitchen is a treasure leaving nothing checked off the list from: staff hospitality, cleanliness, authenticity, ambiance, pricing, portions, and the family vibe that exudes from this restaurant. Great down home cooking from scratch. Fresh soul food. I especially enjoy the collard greens and cabbage with the exclusive specialty cornbread. Ribs fall off the bones, turkey neckbones are succulent and delicious. I'm enthused to try what I haven't already. I’m basing the 5 stars on the 2nd, 3rd & 4th visit which was yesterday. The couple willing there are so nice & just really make you feel valued. I had turkey wing. Very well seasoned and not drowning in some strange white gravy. You get WING and it's delicious! Sides were collars and potatoes with peppers and onions. Both pretty outstanding!
Companion had the fried chicken. In couple of minutes there was nothing left but none because it was so good! Sides were mac n cheese and cabbage. SOOOO goood!
