Rak’s Fish and Chicken — Restaurant in Atlanta

Having walked by this restaurant slowly come together— I had to stop in when I saw on Friday they finally opened. Now when I came it was their opening day, so the staff and everyone was still getting into the swing of things. It seemed there was a bit of a wait so I placed my order and asked to pick it up later, which they were able to do. I got the Number 3 combo which came with 2 pieces of chicken, fries, 2 biscuits, coleslaw and a drink— All for 8.99!! Which is a really great deal!! Anyways the chicken has this certain homemade quality which i really enjoy. But it’s also broasted to crispy perfection!! The fries had season but left more to be desired, and the biscuits which a bit bready but still decent. I also ordered a slice of caramel cake, which was yummy! All the staff so far seem really nice and ready to make this place a success!! I really recommend checking them out when you’re sick of Popeyes or Churches which is just up the road!! I work NEXT door to this establishment. Supporting a new business in a black area is what black people are known for. The recipe is subpar however being a neighbor, I supported. Well today October 31, 2024; I ordered a 2 piece kids meals which is on the menu. The ARABIC OWNER boldly and rudely told me I am not allowed to buy a kids meal. The nerve of a person who is NOT BLACK and DOESN’T come from ATLANTA and whose recipe CANNOT compete with churches or popeyes up the street.
