So here's the story - I got a haircut at a different salon a couple of weeks ago. Disaster. I was in need of hair TLC, so I started looking at reviews for salons in Atlanta and found MarieMarie. I texted (so convenient) the salon and asked if there was someone available asap for a hair rescue mission and I explained that I just wanted a stylist who would listen, offer advice and a game plan, and explain what they were going to do. Whoever was texting me on the other line suggested Blair, and my goodness how thankful I am for THAT suggestion!

Naturally, after coming out of a salon with a terrible haircut, I was a little gun shy and just wanted someone to be honest with me. I came in to see Blair with a crazy, weird, gappy, choppy, blunt, way too thick layer that didn't blend with the rest of my hair whatsoever. And honestly, I thought she was going to have to cut about 6 inches off just to make it look right (which was definitely not what I wanted). Blair took the time to go through my hair, see what she could do to blend the layers, talked to me about my texture and routine, and then explained what her ideas were, in terms of fixing the mess. She asked how I felt about things before starting anything at all, explained what she was going to do before doing it, and asked me several times through the process if I was comfortable with things.

When I left MarieMarie, my layers were blended SO much better, there was barely any length taken off the bottom layer, and somehow Blair managed to work her hair magic on the mess that I came in with! Blair made me feel so comfortable right from the beginning, she was super pleasant to talk to, and she truly knew what she was doing. I am so happy with my results and will not consider going to anyone EXCEPT Blair in the future! The salon as a whole is great. They do email and texting, and when I first made contact, they had me send a description and pics of the kind of thing I wanted and matched me with a stylist that best suited what I wanted. Andrew is the one that did my hair and he worked with me on my color choices, took things step by step and adapted as needed, and maintained communication the entire time. For the cut I told him what I wanted but welcomed feedback since my style is stuck in the 00's, and he discussed with me what I wanted vs what would look good on me, etc, and instead he did a more uneven, "sharp taper" kind of design and I love it 10x more than what I actually wanted. But it's all because he communicated with me and gave input, and took it as well. Absolutely AMAZING experience. This place isn't cheap; but it's worth the money, I assure you. I got a decolor, blue coloring, and a fun cut and with tip it came out to just under $200 but this was also the first time doing anything at all so maintaining will be cheaper than that. But it's so well done that even if it means getting my hair done less often, I'll still go...
