NEW OWNER
Unfortunately due to a recent experience with this place I will no longer be coming back. I have been a loyal customer here for about two years and itâs with regret that I say I will no longer be coming back.
I scheduled a head shave/beard and neck trim at 11:00 on a Saturday. I was dedicated enough to drive 1 hour, in traffic, to try and make this appointment, only to be met with a terrible attitude and no remorse. As a frequent customer, I felt it my responsibility to call and inform them that I would be 10 minutes late (ended up being 14 as I had to prove it wasnât 15 later, canât predict traffic in Atlanta), which I hoped would have been met with some understanding. Instead, Lisanna(the only barber currently) decided to make her own policy, being 15 minutes late and canceling the appointment, I can understand this, really, I get it. But nothing on your website states this as a policy, nothing in the text notices you receive as a customer state this, never once did the person booking this appointment state this. Ample opportunity to provide this information to the customer. Instead, the result is me driving an hour and being met with someone who creates her own policy leaving me to feel like she didnât want my business in the first place.
Fortunately, the NEW owner Steven, was there and I did have a chance to speak with him. Unfortunately, he didnât offer much except for an apology and complaints about things heâs had to deal with since his purchase. Part of his apology was âIâd offer you a refund, but thereâs nothing to refundâ. As I told you then, Iâll repeat it here. I wish you the best of luck but you will no longer be seeing me as a customer here and I will be sharing my experience on social media.
Things happen and people will be late. I understand you have to run a business and time is money, but if you truly cared about satisfying your customers, then you would have directly dealt with me instead of forcing your negative employee to do the work. Poor management decision on your part, especially after I had to seek you out myself.
I hope that you are able to make positive changes in your evolution of owning this business, but as of right now, your not looking so...
Read moreGreat until you get sick, respect common courtesy and cancel your appointment, then are shocked because they have no regard for common courtesy and expect you to just skip a haircut until next time. Then you find out that the shock at lack of courtesy was misinterpreted (in spite of agreeing to the provided alternative and even though no demands were made otherwise) and Sidney explodes at you in an unprovoked abusive tirade that he blames on you, then cancels all appointments, including the one scheduled with someone else due to the cancellation from illness. Meanwhile they stop answering the phone to even figure out where this horrific misinterpretation came from or address it in a mature manner. Typical patterns of abusive behavior and refusal to take responsibility. It would have been difficult for them to have handled things with less maturity-- this was at the level of high school nonsense. Itâs unclear if Aiden (who answers the phones) is on drugs, but I am at a loss to explain the severity of the misinterpretation any other way. Sidney needs anger counseling, particularly since he still thinks his atrocious behavior was somehow justified.
Update 1 month later:
The mistreatment was so severe that a month later I M still suffering from traumatic thoughts...
Read moreUpdate for 5/23/23 - Jason and Marry Todd continue to be the best in town. Even though the safety isn't needed anymore, the service and consistency are still top notch. Probably the only business I've ever wished I could give more than 5 stars to.
Iâve been extremely nervous about getting my hair cut during covid times, but Mary Todd and the employees there are going above and beyond in making sure they can work but also are staying safe. Theyâve added extra time to each appointment for sanitizing before and after, theyâve added space between each chair that they use, and theyâre changing clothes after each trim to make sure theyâre extra safe. We even went outside for the beard trim part while Jason wore a cloth mask and a face shield to allow me to take my mask off while he did my beard. This has always been a 5 star establishment but now I firmly believe they deserve 5 stars for both performance AND safety.
They havenât increased their prices though so make sure youâre tipping...
