Visiting the Martin Luther King Jr. Museum was pleasant. There is parking across the street and the signs leading you in are easy to follow (which isn't always a given in the city). I am personally someone passionate about building a culture of kindness here in Atlanta, so I felt a duty to bring my child to such an important place of learning and legacy. It’s one thing to study Dr. King’s message in books, but to walk through his neighborhood, walk through his home (this was before they closed for renovations), and see the impact of peace resistance and the HUMAN voice brings a deeper sense of connection for us all.

The museum itself offers a tactile reminder of how much love, courage, and persistence it takes to stand up for justice. There is a park out front which is great for kids i enjoyed how they included plenty of musical elements that my little one absolutely loved.

Through my podcast community, Loving Kindness Everyday, I’m committed to continuing the work of spreading kindness, connection, and cultural understanding such values as Dr. King lived by. This visit only deepened that commitment. If you’re ever in Atlanta, this is a must-see that speaks to the soul and reminds us all what we’re capable of when we lead with love. Be sure to look up Kindness Calloway when you are in Atlanta as well and learn about the culture of kindness we have in this...
