As nationwide folks are deciding to pack up Target for their support of bigotry and racism, I think it’s time we pack up the Edgewood Target as well.
This is place is boujee trash. This target is like the only Walmart in a sundown town. Staff, management, everybody. Just rude with bad hygiene. ESPECIALLY THE CUSTOMER SERVICE DESK which is ironic. First, repeating back to me exactly what I JUST said to you slower doesn’t move the conversation along. Why would saying anything slower get to a solution unless you think I can’t comprehend language or I’m the one acting slow? Just cause you might have a language barrier doesn’t mean other people do. While you trying to be smart you sound and look like ya struggling to read lol. But after I walked away, I’m glad you and your coworker had a good time laughing at the situation. I’m sorry I’m a hard working American and I value every dollar that I earn. If it’s funny to yall that I’m trying to honor an agreement your company made then your conscience is as knotted as y’all’s kitchen was when yall turned around. The light skin young lady that was there initially should have stayed. She was very nice and professional but she was kinda in and out. She isn’t part of this critique and wish she would have been the one I was dealing with. The OG sad face and the laughing hyena that replaced her were the issue.
Who trained these people?
LONG STORY SHORT, I did in insurance claim on an item a lil over a year ago. Mind you, Target offers 2 YEAR INSURANCE PLANS. I know cause I buy them. So a little of a year ago I do an insurance claim. The price changed on the item and I was like I don’t care keep the difference I just want the item. So the manager at the time did some magic and was able to exchange the item EVEN THOUGH EVERYONE ELSE SAID THEY COULDNT HONOR THEIR OWN INSURANCE I PAID FOR. The manager hands me the receipt, I tell her “hey insurance not on here. Definitely add that. She tries for like 10 mins, gives up, and then says “I’m the supervisor. Just stop thru if they break within the next two years and I’ll swap them. I’ll be here.”
I asked if she was sure? She said yes. So I got her name, and preserved the receipt and original box just in case. Fast forward to a year and a month later AirPods acting up. Come in the make the switch.
These people told me they remember her and my information matches up, but new manager new rules. I’m like “what? That doesn’t make sense. A representative of your company told me one thing. You all acknowledge this person and the situation, but you’re not willing to honor what your company representative told me?”
Bruh. These folks started trying to explain to me store policies and what she wasn’t supposed to do. I DO NOT WORK AT TARGET. IT’S BAD BUSINESS TO LET YOUR MANAGERS MAKE STATEMENTS AND THEN HOLD CUSTOMERS LIABLE FOR NOT KNOWING YOUR HANDBOOK.
What kind of Twilight Zone stuff is that? You can’t honor your initial commitment cause I, a customer, didn’t know your store policies? So I’m just supposed to know what your employees can and can’t do? And that fact that yall acknowledge that it happened but just saying “so what” and use a technicality to break your word is crazy to me. Then I called the number they gave me to escalate the situation, the people on the other in is FAMILIAR with this location, said they can’t even help, and that the Edgewood store doesn’t like dealing with customers so they just give folks their number. HOW DOES A 1800 SUPPORT # FOR A STORE CHAIN RECOGNIZE THEIR STORE LOCATION FROM DOING BAD BUSINESS AND COMPLAINTS?!?!
It’s just bad business and really shows that Target really isn’t committed to the community. We need to shut this location down(maybe bring Walmart back downtown?) or find someone who actually cares about customer service to run it.
I really just want better...
Read moreOn Monday April 10, 2023 between, 1:00pm - 3:00pm. I shopped at the Target located at 1275 Caroline Street, Atlanta, GA 30307 location. I was racially profiled, harassed, humiliated and accused of something I did not do, steal. I am a new mother and my newborn was only 1 month and 1 week old at the time. I also had my two bonus children with me at the time. I frequent shop at Target so it was a no brainer when I chose Target as my families very first public outing since my daughters birth. Little did I know I would regret my decision. I purchased a Graco Modes Pramette Travel System for $329. Upon attempting to exit with my purchase, I was stopped by a lost prevention team member and she asked to see my receipt for my purchase and I showed it to her, she said thank you and I proceeded to exit the first set of double glass doors. Upon doing so another Target employee named Johnelle with lost prevention was blocking my 14 year old daughter from exiting. Johnelle said you need to back up your not going anywhere then pushed the shopping cart, (which contained a huge box with a stroller and car seat in it) with her hands and forced my daughter back into the store. causing her to back up into me, my newborn and 8 year old son. I asked what was going on, Johnelle said you need to give back the carseat you stole and pointed at the huge box. I was extremely confused as to what was she even talking about. I said, I just presented my receipt for my purchase to the employee inside. Johnelle again stated, I need to give back the stroller she said I stole then asked me to show her my receipt (second request). Again, I said, I already showed my receipt to the first employee that requested to see my receipt. All I remember from there is requesting her to get a manager on duty or whoever was in charge to come get involved. Brandon, Executive Team Lead AP came out of no where and got involved, he then requested my receipt (third request) and treated me as if I did steal the item I in fact am on camera purchasing. Brandon was very cold and rude to me. As if I wasn’t already dealing with enough trying to make it through my postpartum period. That’s when I called the police and I called my husband to come to Target. Then I called Target’s Corporate Office. At this point, I was being held against my will and being falsely accused of stealing and I had my two kids and my...
Read moreWhere do I start? First up this is "my Target". With "my" mostly meaning closest to my house. It's kind of funny because there aren't that many other Target's in the area, so this one is the go to for many surrounding neighborhoods and area. Equaling = pretty big and packed.
It's located in the Edgewood Plaza and is one of the main business tenants in the area. The store itself looks pretty standard and wouldn't be out of a place in a suburban neighborhood. The location has a pretty big parking lot and there plenty of space throughout the plaza, but peak hours can be tricky with traffic and it can be hard to maneuver through.
This Target is pretty large and has everything you come to expect. Groceries, electronics, wellness, clothes, toys, and essentials in between. This location also recently remodeled its customer service center (which by the way looks amazing) and it includes a pharmacy and a Starbucks in the cafe.
The customer service and staff has always been pretty great! Throughout our frequent visits we've gotten to know plenty of the staff and they're always very friendly and helpful. You may sometimes come across employees who can't answer your questions or are unsure about something, but they usually pretty quickly find out and are eager to help.
The store is always very clean and organized as well. They continually update and restock so there's always something new to check out or updated items coming periodically. The aisles and categories can sometimes be confusing but everything is grouped together pretty well so after a few trips you'll be an expert in no time!
Also there is no problem using coupons here or price matching! Definitely a plus.
The only gripes I have is they can sometimes be out of stock of certain items, and usually won't know when they'll be back in. The Starbucks closes at 9, a while earlier before the store. And some staff are more engaged or interested in helping than others.
Overall, this is absolutely my favorite Target in Atlanta and definitely my most visited being super close by. It's definitely a staple for most of us in the area and an absolute must for all...
