Shame on you, Wayfair executives. Someone is definitely writing fake positive reviews for this place - note how all of them mention the same employee(s) and how helpful they were over and over again. While a store associate did acknowledge my friend and I yesterday and offered to help, that's literally the only positive thing I have to say about this store. We went with an open mind despite the negative reviews but now believe them - this visit was definitely a one-and-done for us. Where to start...
The prices, as others have noted, were obviously greatly inflated so Wayfair can still make a hefty profit even with 50% off (in this case, they were giving 60% for a Labor Day sale...whoopie!) What an insult. We saw a lot of chipped, broken, and otherwise damaged furniture. There was a set of four dining chairs very similar to ones I've seen IKEA made and they wanted over $600 PER CHAIR!! Even at half off that price, that is no bargain. Saw a white cubical looking bookcase again very similar to IKEA and it was over $300. Teacups and saucers for over $80. Needless to say, retailers like HomeGoods and IKEA have nothing to worry about with this "outlet" now up and running. And it's not even in a great location - awful traffic which is only going to get worse once the Patriots are playing again this season.
Even the Halloween decor they placed up front near the registers had outrageous prices. $22 for a wooden sign that said Happy Halloween...you can find the same thing at Target for $5. And the general selection is underwhelming to say the least. It's a very small store with barely anything in it to look at. Drive the few extra miles to IKEA in Stoughton and forget this place. I think Wayfair should be ashamed of themselves for opening up...
Read moreStay far away from here. You do not want to go here. This is where broken reject items get marked up 3 times their original price under the guise of half off. So you're still paying more for a defected/returned item. The store looks like a looted Goodwill or Salvation army. Everything is thrown around haphazardly. Its a mess. The customers are 400lb women wearing bikinis, guts hanging out, holding a kid in a diaper under one arm and an unlit cigarette in the other. This is one of the worst places I've ever been and I've been to lots of bad places. All the furniture is damaged . It should be $15, you're paying $1500, it was $400 before being returned and ending up here. If you got here day 1, then you were probably impressed, if you got here after they locals had their way with the store it's a nightmare. Save yourself the trip, you will NOT GET A DEAL or find a rare gem. LISTEN. Its all damaged and broken, it's all 3 times the price it should be even after being 50% off. The other customers will probably break into your car while you shop. If you read this then go you can only...
Read moreI was very displeased with the customer service at the Wayfair outlet. I was visiting with a client to purchase items. I live in NC and was in MA and decided to visit the outlet. I have been a long time business customer with Wayfair. The sales clerks were very friendly and helpful. I spoke with a sales clerk regarding placing a 48 hour hold on an item. The item would be paid for in advance of course. It was around 4:00 pm and I wanted the ability to rent a truck to pick up some items. The sales clerk stated that the items had to be picked up by 6 pm the following day. I asked to speak with the store manager. The assistant manager Cathy stated that we had to pick up the items by the next morning. I explained the situation to know avail. The time she stated was earlier than the time quoted by the sales clerk. I felt Cathy was not being helpful in any way. I explained everything to Cathy in a polite manner. It's very disappointing that she refused to accommodate a long time Wayfair business customer, especially since items would be purchased...
