My wife and I tried Smash Burger for the first time a few days ago (Nov. ‘22). We entered to find ourselves at the end of a line of about twelve customers (a good sign), that moved quickly (~5 minutes until we ordered). While we waited we first noticed the neat and clean appearance of the restaurant and then the upscale features on the menu board unlike any fast food burger joints. Things like Haggen-Dazs shakes (which, by the way, we’re delicious). Without taking too much time here to detail all of the burger and sandwich options, but enough to give you an idea of the kinds of upgrades to expect over traditional fast food chains: 100% certified angus beef burgers, crispy and grilled chicken, turkey, and black bean burgers, chicken wings and tenders (w/several flavor options), applewood smoked bacon, brisket, truffle and chipotle mayos, guacamole, rosemary, garlic and olive oil fries, sweet potato fries, onion rings, crispy Brussels sprouts, American, Swiss, pepper jack, and cheddar cheeses, mushrooms, classic, multi-grain and egg buns….. beer (yes you can get a cold brew with your burger). So, you get the idea. The staff were friendly, answered our questions (being first timers - we had them) and took the time to stop by after we had started our meals to make sure everything was good. Which it was. The prices, as you should expect considering this clearly upscaled version of the tired, noisy, and often not too clean fast food burger joints we’ve all experienced, are higher here. But, still much less than you would pay for a burger meal in a sit down steakhouse. Smash Burger fills the void and need for something in between the two extremes with high quality, tasty food, that is served up fast food style in a much more attractive atmosphere than you can find anywhere else. We...
Read moreThe food at Smashburger in Attleboro is good, but their customer service needs a lot of work, especially when it comes to their closing times. They say they close at 9:30 PM, it's on the door sign outside, their website, and app - but my experiences haven’t matched up. One time, I was told the dining room was closed and it wasn't even 9 PM yet (and they're supposed to close at 9:30 PM). There was no sign saying the dining area was closed, and they didn’t inform me when I ordered but after I ordered and sat to eat, which was an inconvenience. Another time, I came in at 9:15 PM, and noticed that there were many people dining in - at least three seperate tables - and so, I did too and no one said anything. But then, I came in another time after that at exactly 9 PM, and the same employee who told me I couldn't dine in the first time came all the way to my table well 'after' I sat to eat to tell me the dining area was closed. I was disappointed and felt it was rude especially since I had already started to eat and wouldn't take more than a few minutes. I explained to the employee that it's 9:00 and that I dined in at 9:15 the other night with many other people dining in too, and asked why it was okay to dine in late that last time but not now since it's earlier. They gave me a weird look and walked away without answering me nor giving me any sort of an explanation or apology for interrupting my meal. I find all this to be really off-putting. I totally understand if a fast food location needs 15 or so minutes to wrap up for the night, but not 30 or more minutes. I would also understand if they made it clear their dining area is closed ahead of ordering and were consistent about applying an early closure policy; otherwise, I feel it is a poor practice that translates to poor...
Read moreIf I could give this place a million stars I would… idk where to start honestly… it was last Saturday afternoon.. line OUT THE DOOR with only 3 people working. The young woman out front was the absolute DEFINITION of what amazing service is. I am dairy and gluten free. I did not realize that the bacon burger came with cheese, so I ordered my bacon, burger, added onion, and extra pickle on a gluten-free bun in my family ordered food as well. When the food was delivered to my table, I realized It had cheese on it. The woman out front was working very quickly and diligently to get other customers everything they needed and I felt very badly asking her to take the cheese off. I had realized when I got back to the front menu, my burger was supposed to come with cheese I apologized to her and said that I am lactose and unfortunately cannot eat cheese, she smiled at me and said no problem at all I’ll get that for you ASAP. While I was waiting for my burger to be remade, I watched this girl taking peoples orders, making milkshakes cleaning tables and helping the kitchen ALL WITH A SMILE and a positive attitude!! Do you know how rare that is?? I was so impressed. I was so impressed with this entire establishment that I called back later to thank them for being amazing.. I was greeted on the phone by another awesomely positive young man who told me that the god send that had been running a marathon that afternoon was named Tiffany and I should leave this review.. I am a hardcore fan of smashburger and although there is a location closer to my home this location has my family’s business for life!! Thank you Tiffany and the two cooks!!...
