The drink was okay. The mixture was pre-made, so it's not fresh. Also, I ordered a snack and while finalizing my transaction, they learned that there were none left. I also asked about the promotion they have for buy 3 drinks and get 1 free, and they said that they all have to be on the same transaction, so the sign outside is misleading.
EDIT: so the owner responded to this review with lies. Twice! Lie #1: he/she said I told the cashier I had $2 off, which I didn't even mention, since I was a brand new customer, and I had just found the place 10 minutes before arriving. I put my number in to join the rewards program when the cashier was nowhere near the register even, since there was a screen facing me. A coupon came up for $5 off and I got excited, and the cashier said that that's for the next door nail salon. Check your cameras. So there was no "he checked and there was nothing on the account." Lie #2: "I kept asking the cashier about the buy 3 get 1 free..." LOL! I asked once and they were confused as to what I was talking about, so I mentioned the sign outside, and when they clarified that it had to be on the same day, I was annoyed, but moved on. Lie #3: I didn't get a cash refund for the snack, since the transaction was not finalized, they just redid the order. You really need to get your facts straight. Lie #4: The owner tried to say that all drinks are made fresh... they poured mine out of a larger pre-made pitcher. Making the tea hours before customers order it does not make it fresh. Nice try.
That's a good way to earn business, make up stories about customers, and be condescending while responding to a review. If I had considered coming back,...
Read moreI liked this spot for trying it for the 1st time, but I'm not sure if I'd go back. The Mocha & Taro smoothie were delish & I love the nice size cups they serve 'em in.
BUT, I find their menu a bit misleading - dairy free creamer being emphasized on the menu lead me to believe that more dairy free options might be offered. The staff say they can make most any drink dairy free, but they fail to mention milk alternatives or that some drinks have pudding that contains egg in them (which is considered a dairy product), which is not made apparent on the menu either. Because of that, I couldn't try the drink I was hoping for. More clarity on what goes into the drinks on the menu & from the staff would be great.
Aside from that, while observing my drinks being made I was turned off by seeing the staff member SNIFF the blender jar that he was blending my drink in, as if there was an off odor. That did not make me feel confident in the cleanliness of their kitchen, or the drink I was getting.
I'd like to have given 5 stars, but I think I will have to explore other boba options...
Read moreThis place also houses a noodle shop inside called One Stop Noodles. The soup itself is simple, yet delicious especially on a cold day. The noodles are springy, and the beef is tender if that's the protein you end up choosing. The pan-fried potstickers were pretty good; nothing much to comment about. The boba flavor I chose was called Summer Shortcake. You choose the overall flavor of the drink (I went with lychee) but it kinda tasted like angel food cake, at least to me. I went with boba which wasn't a good choice because they tasted old and not fresh. But the boba itself wasn't enough to deduct any stars from the place or the service; it's simply a reminder for myself to choose a different add-in like jelly or nothing at all. Overall, I'd come back. Prices are also very reasonable. The price of the noodle soup was just under $12 and I think after all my additions to my boba, the drink came up to...
