My husband purchased my engagement ring and protection plan at the end of 2006, it was not a cheap ring. It went by accident in the garbage disposal this year in march. Devastated I went to the next Rogers and Hollands which was the one in Bloomington. The sales personal was very friendly and assured me that it would be covered under the protection plan and I would probably only paid very little (she had another customer and she paid only about $50). I was relieved and gave them my damaged ring to send in to have it checked what could be done...I received a call about 1 week later and was told the ring was non-repairable and was NOT covered under the protection plan. I guess there is a new protection plan and it would have been covered under that one but NOT under our "old" one. I feel if a companies changes the protection plan they should either grandfather the old ones in OR let the customers know and have them decide if they would like to update to the newer one with obvious way better coverage. SO needless to say I will never ever go back to Rogers and Holland after I received NO help from the company. Why buy a protection plan if it really is no protection? We could have bought a NEW ring DOUBLE the price and they would have given us the 50% off what the purchase price was...needless to say my husband was not going to buy me a ring for 14,000.00 and I would not want to wear that expensive on a daily basis. At 6 weeks we were told itās actually 6-8 weeks. Ok pushing it but that still works. They stated it was with their quality department at their headquarters. At 8 weeks we were told 1 more week. Only to then be at the 10-12 week mark before we got the band. They then blame the vendor which doesnāt work because they are the ones who gave the wrong dates and had the ring at week 8 at their headquarters⦠so why blame instead of taking accountability?
