I took my kids ages 10 and 8 to this place based upon the news story WGN aired a few weeks ago. We are always looking for a fun place to take the kids. We arrived at 4p which got off to a great start. As soon as you come in, you're greeted by staff. After we paid for admission, we immediately took the kids to the climbing area. We played a few arcade games. We walked to the very end of the facility to the playhouse area, and that's when things got real. My grandson was assaulted by another child because he mistaken that child's gender. After dealing with that, we decided to order some food and regroup. I didn't know I was supposed to present my NCF card to get the $10 off (per person) to staff. Nonetheless, we returned to the play area as we waited for our food. Minutes passed by, and the manager that greeted us appeared with our food order. He informs us that our slushies wouldn't be ready for another 20 minutes. We agreed to wait, and he substituted those drinks for our alternative choices. After scanning the table, we noticed were missing an order of fries, which was included in the combo pizza order. Once we finished our meal, we went back to the concession stand to address the issue of the missing order of fries and slushies. The lines are long and disorderly. Once I got in front of the lone order taker/cashier/bartender , I informed him of the issues with our order and asked for a manager. I stood at the counter and watched another patron literally knock on the kitchen's swing doors to get staff attention. The manager (not the same person from earlier) appeared and explained the problem with our order. We are now 4 hours in, and the atmosphere had changed. The smell of cannabis lingered in the air. The patrons were now 18-21 roughly. The staff changes were obvious as they showed disregard for those around them. The female employees were busy gossiping amongst themselves at the zipline area that they didn't notice a man snuck in under the railings with his kids to get on the the zipline. I witnessed a young female riding on the back of a go-cart which created a dangerous situation for those around her. The last straw came when my kids were attempting to ask a question to staff who were preoccupied with some young men they were talking to, when one of the female staffers snapped at my child "What do you want?" According to my child the female staffers tone was mean and very rude as if he was bothering her. I returned to climbing/lazer maze area to confront that staffer. Of course, she denied being rude to my child. I reminded them that these children are paying customers and that they are the reason they get a paycheck at the end of the day and that she needs to work on her tone. There is always a better way to engage with the younger audience. Bathrooms- disgusting Food - subpar the churros were hard as rocks and the loaded nachos were less than appeasing to the eye Staff - rude. They all need to learn some customer service skills Cleanliness- the concession area needed much cleaning. I did not see any staff making the effort to clear the tables. We probably may not come back! It was a good first and...

So I visited this place on MLK Day and there are some reasons why I ranked this place 2 stars

The place itself is nice I’ll admit I like how just about everything glows

Pros. The laser tag was cool never seen anything like it. The ropes course I liked as well whole bunch of elements I’ve never been on. The zip line was my favorite and I wound up spending almost 3 hours up there

The ropes course I put both in pro and con

Cons. The first time I went on the go karts I waited almost 30 minutes in the line the workers took their sweet time just loading everyone up which is ridiculous. When I finally got on my go kart I haven’t had a chance to get myself strapped in and they were telling everyone to go they even didn’t care to come check to see if I was strapped in luckily I was all the way in the back and I didn’t move my go kart until I was secured. Your only out there for 2 minutes I get the track is short but least keep it between 3-4 minutes. The rope course was decent but had some issues as shown in the photos. The ladies who put my harness on were nice but just a little clueless the way they tighten it felt off I didn’t want to say anything since they seem nice. When I got up there one of the obstacles was blocked off with a zip tie and duct tape I would of put a small rod with a cotter pin on each side with a sign marked (closed for repair). It was only zipped tied on one side so people could still get on it if they ripped through the tape. I had to adjust my harness to my fit because I felt a little uncomfortable just going on some of the obstacles. Everything is worn out because people aren’t going one at a time my sling line looked promising as I shouldn’t be seeing the wires inside. I ran into a kid up there and both of us loved the zip line couldn’t stop going on it but the rest of the obstacles seem a little off. The certificate of the attraction expired over a year ago and if I was an inspector I would have shut the whole attraction down. I’ve worked at two different places were there was a ropes course as I was a certified worker and trainer with RCI (the name of the ropes course). Once me and my friend came down and it was time to go home we decided to go one last time on the go karts my friends brother decided to come we waited about 15 minutes the worker asked if there was someone riding together since there was one double car left the two boys were let on and I noticed there was a single car left. I asked if could get on since all of us were together and they started the race without me I asked again why didn’t you let me on the last go kart it is working he looks at me with a dirty face and doesn’t say anything and I just walked away. Overall the place is nice I just wish some of the workers had better attitudes especially the go kart workers as they don’t even want to be there. I don’t know if I will be returning as I drove just over a hour to check this place out but if I do return and I see the same issues I will be reporting it...

The stars given does not reflect the staff but the treatment of the Manager (John) on site the night we celebrated my daughter's birthday. From the beginning the employee that took my call, the venue attendant the night of the event, to the event manager (Angie) that handled the details of the party, I could not have been happier! Really, they may have been short on workers but truly the staff was great and the venue was very clean! My complaint is focused solely on the manager that night (John). I reserved and purchased the Galaxy Package for my daughter's celebration so she and her friends could enjoy and have the best experience possible. Our Package included a round of their VR game, our party was winding towards the end before the group decided to play. Our venue attendant was assisting another group and with the posted sign on their door of the gaming room to schedule time at the Front Desk, I didn't think it would be an issue to request a game time myself. I walked to the front and waited, patiently for 1 of the front desk attendants and when free requested the next game time, which apparently was only scheduled with Manager on duty. Sadly, until my encounter with him, it was a great night, he was the most unfriendly and unwelcoming Individual. He immediately stated the game was for parties with the Galaxy Package only! I agreed and stated that's why I wanted to schedule the time and instead of him checking the reservation in the system, which mind you the attendant standing next to him did and confirmed before he called the event manager to the front. He pull her to the side in private, to I guess, confirm I was indeed the party host, but even after she confirmed it, appear he had to reconfirm my name and verify in the system, only then, my party reservation and confirmed to me it was only 1 round, firmly. Now given it was busy, he could have had an off night, but for the cost of the party, the extras we spent and added to the night, it was unacceptable, unprovoked and unprofessional. I do know, they have gained atleast 2 additional parties since my daughter's and my hope is this manager will remember for whatever his reasoning to engage with a customer as he did, could potentially have an effect on potential customers in the future and the possibility of those attending to NOT Return. At this current time, our youth group is discussing their outing in the spring and I must say with the 3 parties, our kids absolutely love this place, but I'm having them to strongly consider...
