I have stayed here on a few occasions previously, never had major issues other than... NO POOL, HOT TUB, OR BREAKFAST WHAT-SO-EVER!!! The reason I am giving it the 1 star is due to the reasonable room rates and the quite location. Every other aspect pertaining to this specific hotel is definitely sub par to say the least. Let me just say I stayed here this last time with my wife and 2 year old daughter, immediately I noticed there isn't any screens or proper safety locks to assure me my toddler would not climb and fall from the second floor window (Including stairwell windows). This cannot be up to safety regulations in any way. The air conditioner will blow put hot air half the time and I found what I suspect to be a bed bug crawling on my sleeping child. To top the conditions of my room were not acceptable the shower didn't have ANY pressure to it, unless you wanted to take a cold shower any kind of hot water just dripped out from the faucet. The Staff could use some better customer service training. When I checked In the gentleman behind the counter was pleasant but he was talking to another gentleman I believe to be the Owner/Manager in a language I couldn't understand, which is extremely distasteful, let alone rude, but I just minded my business and kept it moving. I exited down the side stairwell to the parking lot to smoke a cigarette and get a little fresh air outside with my daughter. I turned on some music (from my cell phone) at what I thought to be a normal curtious tone for 4 pm, but about 5 min after turned my music on, I was met by the same manager that had been rude not but 30 min before, talking about music asking me what my room number is and if I want to have the police called to "kick" me out. I've never been talked to by a Hotel that way ever, especially concidering it was 4 pm and I wasn't bothering anybody. He said the hotel was private property and that he could have me escorted from the property, mind you I was with my 2 year old daughter minding my buisness. I feel as if I was being racially profiled because I wasn't not like him. I am not going to be returning here to say the least. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone, I honestly don't know how they are still...
Read moreWe stayed for 2 nights, my husband and I and my Dad. I reserved the 2 room suite thinking this would be much more convenient since my Dad is in his 80's. So to start, the door signs required a mask to enter and I complied, the desk clerk did not, nor anyone else coming and going. There was no breakfast due to Covid, no problem. I asked for additional coffee since there were 3 of us, they could only find 1 pack. On to the room. It was very bizarre. There were 2 bedrooms but no common area to sit for TV or visiting. The room with the smaller bed went to Dad, that was also where the fridge, microwave and coffee were. After settling in I found there were only 3 coffee cups, none to use for brushing teeth, taking medication, etc., there was also no soap. None, anywhere. 2 tubes of shampoo, no conditioner, no lotion, but NO SOAP. There were 2 trash cans, not one for each room AND the bathroom, just 1 room and bathroom. The Bathroom, no tissues, some in each room, but not the bathroom. There was, however, plenty of hair in the tub and on the shower doors that didn't belong to us, as well as some, something, on the edge of the tub, ick. There wasn't an alarm clock in the room my Dad was in, no clock at all. Come our first morning, Dad was making coffee when it leaked all over the counter due to a perfectly round hole under the handle. At least the desk replaced that at no charge. Night 2, about 11:30-midnight the fire alarm sounds. On our way out a patron tells us the front desk called her room stating she set it off because she "was smoking in the room". Seriously???? On our way past the desk the clerk confirmed that to me. That is a terrible system if it's true!!! We were checking out the next morning. That's when my husband was sitting at the desk and noticed BB's, about 4, shiney, brass, BB's embedded in the wall. That may have explained, what appeared to be, a blood stain in the common "hallway" of the 2 rooms. We...
Read moreWhen I made the appointment I had to call back to find out if they had sent the confirmation which they had not yet. When I asked for rooms next to each other they said no problem. I had confirmation for two rooms on the first floor. I went to confirm the reservation the day before we were leaving found out that they had given my other party a handicapped room even though he isn't he's just a senior in age so they switch the rooms to the second floor and I asked were the rooms next to each other and they said yes. We arrived at the hotel checked in and found out that the rooms were not next to each other they were actually on opposite ends of the hall from each other. There were problems inside the room that I had to call the front desk for and they failed to mention to me that there was a soccer team surrounding my room. They kept me awake the night before they kept me awake last night and I went out at 1 am and told them guys I have to sleep can you take it somewhere else! I have never had such a bad experience with super 8 before I was actually really looking forward to staying here but in addition the air conditioner kept coming on even though it shouldn't have. It froze me out I had to turn it off actually. It was just not a good experience. The TV wouldn't work when I came in I had to unplug it and plug it back in. Same way with the phone. There was a light bulb out had to get that replaced then the hair dryer wouldn't work at first. I had clothes to iron but I decided I better not try it because probably would burn them who knows I didn't want to even try it. This was just not what I paid for. You know you don't expect a room to be in this kind of condition if you pay good money for it and especially in the area that I am at I was very disappointed and I will rethink staying at another super 8 from...
