Excellent practice, attentive physician, very affordable self-pay rates. Dr. Connor is perhaps one of the most understanding and no-nonsense primary care physicians I've ever seen.
The practice is very small-scale, and all staff members I've encountered were professional, knowledgeable, and kind. Wait times may be a little longer, but overall not bad. You're in a room within 5-10 minutes and Dr. Connor or an assistant soon takes your vitals and you'll be seen typically in less 15 minutes afterwards.
It's truly all worth it to see Dr. Connor, though. She listens attentively when you talk about your concerns and recommends very sensible actions to take. She's very knowledgeable about a wide variety of conditions. I can actually tell that she gets this experience from everyday interactions with patients. It's not performative. She's very frank, doesn't use buzzwords and gives you some additional perspective on what you can expect throughout your treatment/management.
In addition, Dr. Connor seems to truly be interested in your well-being, while treating you like an individual capable of making rational decisions.
She recently got a new office staff member at the Medical Arts office who wasn't quite as experienced, and seemed somewhat lost during my 2nd most recent visit, but I'm happy to say that the person in question turned out to be quite nice.
A great selling point is that if you need routine lab tests, Dr. Connor can get you the tests for relatively cheap. I won't quote prices exactly because everyone's needs are different, but typically they are cheaper than what you'd get from other major labs for equivalent procedures at self-pay rates. There's a collection center right next to her office at the Medical Arts location.
An important disclaimer: Dr. Connor does self-pay only, but the rates are surprisingly low. I can't give you an accurate quote, and it's in your best interest to call to verify, but I'll say it's very affordable if you have only simple health needs like...
Read moreDr. Connor is without a doubt the best doctor in all of Austin. She practices the very best in compassionate care and she encourages you to take an active role in your own care. I am a fully insured patient who could go to any number of doctors in the Austin area subject to my PPO insurance, but I go to Dr. Connor and pay out of pocket because she treats me like a person and a customer who she is there to serve. She takes her time and listens to everything I have to say. If you go to other practices that accept insurance, sure you will likely get sufficient care, but you are not treated as a customer but as mere antecedent to an insurance reimbursement. The other review I see where someone elects to give her a 3-star review because this person misunderstood the situation as far as insurance goes, is completely idiotic. He screws up by not realizing she doesn't take insurance, admits Dr. Connor is great and then blames her for his mistake and gives her a three-star review. That's disgusting. Dr. Connor is the essence of a fair and kind provider in the helping profession. She simply chooses to spend her time taking care of patients rather than messing with insurance companies. That's entirely her right. I assure you that if you elect to see her you will...
Read moreDr. Connor and her Assistant have been truly amazing from the start. I’m thankful to my friend that referred me to her for my care and my health. For my first visit with Dr. Connor, she spent the full 60+ mins with myself and my wife getting to know me/us and genuinely answered all of our questions. Her assistant has been a trooper with our communication, it’s been a little bit of back and forth due INS related things I had to take care of for me, and both have been amazing. I had questions over the last couple of days and I didn’t even wait 2 hours for a callback before I was on the phone laughing with her assistant again. I feel safe, I feel taken care of and cared for. Dr. Connor looks out for her patients and makes sure our prescriptions are affordable. I’m excited for the new Dr/Patient relationship with Dr. Connor. Thank you for helping me become my truest self Dr. Connor! I’m forever in gratitude for your passion and dedication. I 1000% hands down would recommend her to my friends...
