Fine Art Services — Local services in Austin

I reached out to a couple of custom framing shops around Austin because I wanted to frame my Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island animation cel. Pretty niche but Fine Arts Services were willing to do it.

Laura and Jody are great folks and made the custom frame ordering process very easy. They take the time to understand your preferences, budget and other constraints. More importantly for me, they were patient in answering my questions in regards to the materials they use and why they recommend them or do things this way.

Please note, framing is expensive no matter where you go. Michael's or Joann's in my opinion has limited selection compared to a professional custom framing shop like Fine Art Services. I mean you can do it yourself but you're going to need a lot of miter-boxes, corner clamps, mat (board) cutter and skills. In my opinion, I don't think custom framing is overpriced as long as you consider that your artwork or in my case, animation cel, will be preserved for years (provided you don't put them in direct sunlight).

Also please do support your local framing art shops who do quality work like Jody and Laura.

Last note: for some reason Google Maps takes you to their back door so don't listen to Google Maps, go around in the Business Park to find...

Let me tell you guys, come here for all your art or framing wants you will ever need. Jody who is the production manager of Fine Art Services, is by far one of the best custom framers and this spot is great for any art pieces you may have in Austin. Not only did he work with every crazy request I had, but he also went above and beyond to make sure my art pieces were being well taken care of while in his hands.
