Booked Longhorn Leisure after having a great experience with them in 2020.

It was my 30th birthday and we booked with Captain Luke from 2-5pm. Around 1:40, Luke calls to delay our start time one hour since a storm came out of no where. Our group of 15 completely understood and we were happy to wait the hour for the storm to pass since we were already at the 360 bridge dock.

Around 3:00pm, Luke calls to suggest that we reschedule because he doesn’t think the storm would subside. At this point, it had stopped raining and we were watching other boat companies pick up their groups to head out on the lake. Captain Luke said he would wait 20 more minutes before he would head over from Hula Hut to the 360 bridge dock.

While waiting, my husband started talking to captains from other companies who were waiting for groups at the 360 bridge. We said we were waiting for Luke from Longhorn Leisure and he said he was just docked next to Luke at Hula Hut. Around 3:30, my husband calls Luke who tells us he needs to cancel because he had work the next day and didn’t want to be out late (we would’ve been done by 6:30) and he sent us a refund and left us stranded.

Thankfully, one of the captains from Austin Boat Rentals took care of us and we had a great afternoon with them celebrating my 30th. Keep in mind, the sun came out and the sky was clear by 3:45pm and it was 95 degrees.

Disappointed in how Captain Luke handled...

We did not have a good experience.. we were celebrating my friends 30th birthday but it started raining when we got to the dock. Understandably, our captain (Luke) called to push our time an hour to wait the storm out. Again, we were happy to. The rain stops about 15 min before the new time but he calls that he just wants to cancel because he was nervous about the weather. We got him to wait 15 more min to see if the skies cleared a little more (it has not been raining for 30 min at this point and there were now blue skies) and he calls us to say that he’s just going to cancel because he had work the next day and didn’t want to be out late (we would’ve been done by 6:30pm). WELL we talk to few other boats with rental companies at the dock and we find out that they were sitting with our driver before heading out… there was no reason why he should’ve canceled. Got the feeling that he was just not feeling like it. It was a very disappointing experience and would not recommend. Luckily we were able to rent a boat from Austin Boat Rentals and had an absolutely...

My family was celebrating the graduation of my 2 nephews from high school. Some family was from out of town and had not seen each other in 10+ years. Our party had a big age range; from 12-67. We didn't want anything crazy. Just good family time to be together.

I first called to ask questions. Captain Luke was super friendly and helpful. He sent a follow up texts with additional information and a link to book. Once I booked, our captain, Captain Brandon, texted me the day before to confirm the pickup location. I had some follow up questions and he was responsive via text. The boat was of great quality and fit the 12 of us very comfortably. I was able to bring my 16lb miniature poodle too.

Brandon took us on a nice cruise around the lake and then anchored us down in a no wake zone to take out the lily pad and swim. He was knowledgeable and accommodating to our party. I would 100% recommend Longhorn Leisure.
