Hello Austin....I hope the weekend has been great. Well...the park is always beautiful but, I went after dark because it's too hot now...in the day. Some hostile, crazy being....I won't call people who behave like animals human. A guy starts yelling & threats to kill me, & shoot me, ....just going off. I have been stalked & me personally... I'm not having it! So we have a few words & I did what we all should do.
I called the police. As I was waiting, another person who also was discussed came up & the "2 of us Together," stood as one. To my dismay: 4 cars role up 3 police; 1 cop! The guy beside me took off as soon as they saw my flashlight. The police went toward the hostile person & the disrespectful, should not be allowed to police anyone...comes to me & next thing I know... I have to remind him I called you. "Do Your Job!!!" These types of animals with a badge & a gun....or this one, on this night.. Was More Dangerous for sure: Then The Crazy Guy.
After getting his car number, I called the Police Oversight. The Experience as usual... causes depression & a feeling of uncertainty & lack of protection. It took a week for me to recover emotionally. PTSD, & Depression are no joke. Remember: "To Server & Protect." I have met some amazing Police Officers & for the biggest part: I need to believe most of them understand that: Profiling Goes Both Ways. 👀😳😤😒
BE CAREFUL & I CALL THE POLICE BECAUSE: IF IT MAKES ME UNCOMFORTABLE... then it is definitely going to affect...the average citizen.
Good & Love To The...
Read moreThe Ann and Roy Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail is one of Austin’s most scenic and well-loved outdoor spots, offering a 10-mile path that loops around Lady Bird Lake. As a recent newcomer to Austin, one of my highlights has been exploring the endless trails around the city, and this one definitely stands out. The trail offers stunning views of the water, downtown Austin’s skyline, and plenty of lush green spaces. The path is well-maintained, making it perfect for runners, bikers, and walkers alike. One of the best things about the trail is how spacious it is, never feeling overcrowded, even during peak times.
However, be aware that Austin summers can be intense, with temperatures often reaching over 100 degrees. It’s important to bring plenty of water, sunscreen, hats, and other essentials to stay safe and comfortable, especially if you’re tackling the rocky terrain in certain sections of the trail. The diverse landscape includes a mix of smooth paths and more rugged, rocky areas, so it’s great for those looking for a challenge in addition to beautiful scenery.
With its combination of peaceful surroundings, easy access to downtown, and the freedom to roam without feeling crowded, the Ann and Roy Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail is an ideal place to enjoy a workout or simply take in Austin’s stunning...
Read moreA pretty park right next to downtown Austin! It’s quite spacious and a beautiful getaway from urban life. Whenever you visit on a nice day, you’ll see hundreds of people walking, biking, sitting and relaxing, and just enjoying the beautiful scenery. There are dogs everywhere! And many of them are super playful and cute! I love it so much! It’s well-kept as well, unlike many other parks in major cities’ downtowns. The only downside is parking - it’s tough to find any, but it might just be worth parking farther away and walking a bit (because regardless, downtown Austin is nice to walk around in anyway). All in all,...
