I've been going to Sweat440 Zilker for a few months and have nothing but wonderful things to say! I felt very welcomed from my first class and continue to feel part of a community. Working out at a big box gym never worked for me. Mainly because I didn’t know what I was doing. But Sweat440 has solved that problem with guided workouts led by excellent coaches! I never thought I’d say I enjoy going to the gym!
The location is perfect; centrally located in 78704 with plenty of free parking.
The facilities are top-notch. Everything is new and impeccably clean, which is a huge plus for me. They take pride in maintaining a high standard of hygiene and comfort for their members.
Classes start every 10 minutes and are made up of 6 people in each class, allowing for individualized attention and support. You spend 10 minutes at each station, doing 3 different exercises. You rotate around 4 stations, so 12 different exercises completed in 40 minutes! Each weekday centers around a focused body area with an all-body workout on the weekends. And the best part? Every workout is different and challenging, keeping things fresh and exciting. I leave sweating every time!
But what truly sets Sweat440 apart is their exceptional team of coaches. The studio manager, Shreya, is awesome! She’s incredibly kind, welcoming, and accommodating to each person’s fitness journey. Working alongside her are many great coaches—Kelsey, Emily, Jack, and several others who possess a remarkable ability to challenge and motivate you. I've received personalized attention during each session, with coaches taking the time to correct my form and ensure I get the most out of every workout.
There are many membership options (4-12 classes per month, or unlimited monthly / yearly plans). The price is very affordable compared to other studios offering group fitness classes. I also like how there aren’t any hidden fees or fine print—no cancelation and no late fees.
Overall, I can't recommend Sweat440 Zilker enough. If you're looking for a gym that ticks all the boxes - convenient location, pristine facilities, outstanding coaches, and dynamic class structure - then look no further. Joining Sweat440 has been one of the best decisions I've made for my...
Read moreI enjoy the format and exercises at the gym. The exercise variety is quite impressive and I like the small group settings. The result is also quite obvious which I'm happy about. The coaches are a huge hit or miss. While I'd say around half of them are attentive and super helpful in improving your form and efficiency, and even suggesting modifications when the routine is not working for individuals, there are a few coaches that are unprofessional—using work hours as their own gym time, chatting with their colleagues or the few clients they knew or were new to the studio, with no attention paid to anyone even when someone was clearly struggling. It may be best for people who already know some basics on circuit training for the best results and consistency.
Update: there seemed to be quite huge turnover in staff, and the current staff seemed nice. They are paying less attention to individual form and quality of exercise though. It also seems to me that they stopped accepting Classpass-er earlier this week.
Unrelated to the changes, I have tried other similar studios. The most direct comparison is F45 which I found similar issues. I found myself more drawn to a local studio for...
Read moreAs a former personal trainer and coach at other boutique studios in Austin, this place really makes me feel in my element. Coaches here really try and push or modify movements to help the clientele .
When I started here I was coming off an 8 month double disc herniation in my back. Ariana, Kelsey, jack, Kenneth, Cary, and Becca helped me modify things to help strengthen my back and core. Now I'm doing two workouts a day, modifying and progressing movements and really seeing my body change back to what it was pre injury.
The coaches and staff here are really trying to build and maintain a consistent community by doing weekly events such as the run club, happy hours, biweekly yoga and seem to be pattering with local businesses to help provide these.
Overall I'm very impressed with the price, coaching, workouts. If you are looking to join a fitness studio, this is one you should...
