I’m DFW based…
The W. Pipeline Rd (Hurst) location was incredibly accommodating, friendly & efficient. I’ve used this location twice ever, years ago for my senior prom & last week to get measured for a tux for my brother’s wedding & I had equally great experiences both times, however…
The Barton Creek Square location (inside the mall) was a completely different experience, unfortunately. I came here (the closest location to the venue of the wedding, 11/3/22) & the pants for my tux weren’t altered to the specifications of the measurements taken at the Hurst location. The pants were massively too big in both length/waste width & overall fit/style. I politely asked what could be done to fix the issue, as I was worried, cause the wedding was in 24hrs. A lady got me new pants & while they were far closer to what I was expecting/needing in regards to fit/style, these were slightly too tight. The first pants fit like a 40-42waist & maybe 38-40 length, the new pants fit like a 34-35waist & 30-32length. I expressed that the waist was tight/uncomfortable even when expanded to max limit & asked if there was an option for a 36waist, while maintaining the same length. The lady got visibly annoyed/snappy that she’d have to retrieve a 3rd pair of pants & somewhat implied that I was being difficult & told me the pants were “fine”, then said “I’m not sure what you’re looking to accomplish, what’s the deal?” I told her it was kinda insulting to have a woman lecture me on mensware & TELL me how something should fit, when I (a man) am literally currently wearing the pants & know how pants should fit & they weren’t comfortable… I’d never offend a woman by implying I knew how maybe a dress or skirt should fit, being that I’ve never worn either & therefore wouldn’t be of much knowledge on the subject, so it was quite annoying to have her do so to me. I understand she works in mensware & is probably quite knowledgeable in general, but if I’m actively wearing a garment, telling you it feels uncomfortable, please don’t debate me on it & imply I’m being difficult, especially when I know my size & request it specifically as a remedy to the situation. I felt as if the clasps would pop were I to bend over or exhale too sharply. The correct size was never retrieved for me & I was in a massive hurry for the rehearsal walkthrough/dinner, as I was a groomsman. So for 8-10hrs the following day, I was uncomfortable & not able to fully enjoy the evenings’ events, being that I basically had to stand the entire time for fear of ruining these too-tight pants I ddt own, nor would I have ever dared to wear of my own accord.
Overall it was just massively stressful to be essentially denied the same great customer service I’d grown accustomed to at the Hurst location. Maybe other men are a bit more empathetic/accommodating to other men in regards to mensware(?) but the incident affected my mood, which unfortunately affected how I looked/acted/treated others during such a special event. I had to force smiles, force positive interactions & take multiple trips outside & to the bathroom to undo the top of the pants, since they were so uncomfortable, it just wasn’t fun & wasn’t an experience I’d wish for anyone to have during such a monumentally special day, especially given that these rentals aren’t cheap. I just expected better. I’d for sure use/recommend the Hurst location again…Barton Creek Square, never again. I’d recommend others try an alternative ATX location before possibly subjecting anyone to the poor treatment/service I received at that particular location.
2stars cause the gentleman that checked me out was extremely polite & had a generally more upbeat/accommodating attitude, I wish I’d dealt with him instead throughout the duration...
Read moreDont even know where to start. Planned my wedding for a year. Had everyone in the wedding party get measured and fitted 6 months in advance. Went in 3 weeks prior to the wedding and had myself remeasured and fitted to be sure everything would fit. Verified all orders for the best man, 3 groomsman, and a bridesman.
Fast forward to the day before the wedding. Everyone flew in from different states to attend the wedding (were all veterans). My best mans suit did not fit at all. Undershirt, suit jacket, shoes. All wrong. Same for one of the groomsman. Myself (groom) undershirt was so small i couldnt even put it on. The suit jacket went on about halfway. Im a 46 chest, they ordered a 42. Obviously i was very upset. The manager informs me at this point one of the groomsmans suits got delivered to the wrong store about 4 hours away. She then told me she was sorry and that she could re order but couldnt promise that everything would arrive by the next day. ( which was wedding day)
Upon further pressuring her she said it wasnt her store and that if it was her store that made the mistakes she would take responsibility. Realizing that wasnt going to get her off the hook she starts grabbing random jackets and undershirts for the 3 people present whos things did not fit, and asking us to try them on. This went on for an hour. Not once was i or any of the grooms party remeasured. At one point she asked me what size i thought i was... like im not paying her to know that for me ???? Long story short i walked out.
I cancelled my order and took a short walk to The Modern Man. The guy there hooked me up with a custom tailored suit overnight. The whole getup. Shirt, jacket, belt, pants, bowtie, shoes. I came first thing the next morning and picked it up. As for the rest of the grooms party they express shipped the messed up orders and we grabbed them at noon. Wedding was an hour away and started at 5. Very last minute but we did get there in time to get ready and the wedding went wonderfully.
Long story short ill never use mens wearhouse again. I do not recommend them to anyone. If i could do it over id buy the 900 dollar custom...
Read moreThis store is not even worth one star.
These are very tricky guys beware of them especially manager Joe and sales representative David , There main theme is force you to buy stuff and when you ask to return the product they wont take it back.
Guys be very careful about the Men's Wearhouse showroom at Barton Creek Mall. My suggestion is to never shop in this store. They tell you lies in-order to sell the garments to you.
On Sunday evening , I went to the store and shopped a Tuxedo and pair of shoes from them. While buying the Tux , I was not sure to go ahead or not but David the sales guy told you can buy now and later if you change your mind on this, You can call store and let us know by Tuesday in-order to return back. Tuesday Morning at 10.15 AM I called back the store and said i am not happy with Tux i want to return that , Manager said they have altered it they cant take it back . Now they are forcing me to buy the TUX which i am not happy with. I told Manager Joe that David told me while buying the Tux , I can inform store by Tuesday and you will take it back. Store manger said they altered and they cant take it back. Then why did the sales guy David gave false promise and now when I try to talk with them about returns they are shouting at me impatiently . Very nasty way to behave with customer. I will never step into this store again.
Very poor customer satisfaction on top of it the Store manager Joe is shouting at me , when I call them to ask about returns. Worst experience I ever had. Based on your situation like if your in a hurry for marriage or some other occasion they will use it to force you buy stuff . Please dont shop at this store.
Finally, I got the issue resolved by calling the corporate office and raising a complaint on Manager , He is the very bad at customer service. My suggestion to menswarehouse would be change that guy and put a nice decent well mannered person...
