This church is amazing..! I thank God for connecting me to the Austin Stone Community Church. When looking for a church I did a lot of searching because I was looking for a few things. I wanted a church that was focused on teaching from the bible. I'd been attending another church in Austin and felt like we barely looked to God's word. The message was high level you are loved by God. Austin Stone is so different. We spend time going through the bible, sometimes verse by verse and they offer numerous development classes that take it to the next level. These classes cover individual books, or multiple topics and span weeks. They serve to equip and connect us to others in the church.
I wanted a church that offered a good kids ministry. I remember being a kid and dreading going to church on Sunday. This was partially because my church lasted 5 hours but also because I had to sit in adult church and barely followed what was discussed. The Austin Stone offers a kids and students ministry that is divided into school grade based age groups and provides teaching that's age appropriate. My kids love going to church and are excited afterwards to talk with me about what they learned and/or show me a craft that they made.
I wanted to feel like I was part of the church. I've attended big churches for most of my adult life and this is hard to manage in a large church. Its hard not to feel like you are just a sheep being herded in and herded out after. The Stone manages this through connecting you with Missional Community groups and getting you involved in serving/volunteering. Also, the South Campus is even better because it is much smaller than the main campus downtown at Austin High. Also there is only one service so no rushing you out after service so you are free to meet and greet others afterward.
I think of the Austin Stone South Campus as a small church feel with big church resources. Because of the overall church size with a North, Main, West and South campus they can offer the classes mentioned above, dedicated kids and student ministries, resources and teaching materials when needed, quality video and music production, etc.
I love this church... Its not just a...

On Mother’s Day 2024
instead of preaching a really awesome message about women and what beautiful portals theyare carrying life, and bringing life earth side ——the guy chose to go on and on about finances and getting our money in line ????
I was shocked and blown away by this message it was the weirdest one I’ve ever been to:
It was also sooo stressful:
As a single mom I don’t want to be reminded of all the bills I have due back at the house!
I left the service not uplifted at all—- stressed and worried about money on the day that’s supposed to honor mothers.
But maybe the guy hated woman because he was very very feminine acting himself.
So that usually means they grew up with an overbearing mother:
So it makes sense that he would be soaking this way:
It just sucks to waste such a chunk of my time and energy here .
Praise and worship was okay ish:
I’ve been to church all over the nation since u was 7years old.
I asked someone if the pastor is ever live on campus and they said NOPE NEVER .
So you go for crummy praise and worship and If you don’t wanna watch tv you get a super weird message about finances:
Hey great work Austin stone:
Ohhh and they were just on the news for someone from the young adults/ children’s center touching kids
I wouldn’t ever go back again: Sorry :-( I really wanted to like...
Read moreIt would be nice if Austin Stone actually think about the community meaning they would help their members when it comes to hardship but for the public nothing Austin Stone has 3 locations and none of them help with rent assistance are utility assistant for the public but when it comes to their members they would be taking care of. I don't understand why some Churches preach about the word of God what God love but that same Church refused to help the community with rent and utilities assistance Austin Stone doesn't understand it's not only their Church members who are struggling it's people like me who's also...
