Absolutely unacceptable behavior from staff â discriminatory and humiliating experience. Iâm deeply disappointed and disturbed by what happened to my friend at this bar. He doesnât speak English very well, and during a recent visit, the bartender was incredibly rude to him simply because she felt he didnât tip her enough. She outright refused to serve him a beer. Trying to make peace, he apologized and left her a $35 tip for one drink, which is way above standard.
But instead of moving on, the bartender humiliated him by pulling out receipts from previous visits in front of everyone to accuse him of not tipping âenoughâ in the past. It was completely unnecessary and disrespectful.
When we came back another time, the situation escalated further. The security guard accused my friend of calling the bartender a B word in Russian, a language he doesnât even speak (heâs not Russian at all). They told us the bartender didnât want him there anymore. Instead of being upfront and saying they didnât want to serve him due to tipping preferences (which, as a private business, theyâre allowed to do), they made up a false accusation and clearly racially profiled and discriminated against him.
This wasnât just bad serviceâit was targeted, racially motivated humiliation. If you or someone you care about is from a diverse background, think twice before coming here. The staff was rude, dishonest, and discriminatory. We are seriously considering legal action, because no one should have to experience this kind...
Read moreIts an ok place if you like playing pool. There are numerous table, but if your are not Caucasian you might find some of the people who frequent the place is not as friendly to you and may give you ugly stares. The emoyees are very nice despite some of the unsavory customers. Ut definetly is not the cleanest place as the bag toss had filthy bean bags that made me cringe at the tought of touching them. The place site away in the corner next to some other establishments. The positive side of the club is the ok prices on drinks and free pool on Tuesdays. All in all it is ok, but I would not put in in my top 25 places to return unless im really low on funds and need a quick drink and game of pool. There are a few arcade games but nothing to brag about, it has a dart board too. Its truly a hidden hile in the wall that really needs a make over and too bad they cant block racist cuatomers but I guess thats something you have to decide if you want to endure. Make sure you bring extra friends in case you need the support..I would have given it 1 star but hey its free on Tuesday and there is no...
Read moreLove this place! Admittedly, they get points for convenience, as they're just down the street from me, but even when they weren't we drove out of our way to visit. You never need to order a double shot, as the bartenders pour well, there's always (GOOD!) Karaoke, and the atmosphere is juuuuuuust the right amount of trashy. Wearing my super short skirts and barely-there tops, no one bats an eye, and i always feel at home. There are 10+ tables with decent felt and not-chipped balls, well-lit where it counts, tuesdays are free, and theres also a night ladies play free, although i can't remember when. Also tournaments, but even when they hold them they dont use ALL of the tables, so us regular joe shmose can still play too. 10/10 would recommend. Bonus points for entertaining bathroom graffiti!
Edit: Still going here, a year later! Ladies nights Saturdays, league night thurs, free day is Tuesday. Im bummed they painted over the bathroom graffiti... but im guessing it'll find its...
