I wish I could say this was the best experience as expected but unfortuantely it wasn’t. After an hour going over options, (not a big deal) we picked our pieces. Our sales person said she would have numbers by Sunday, (1 week later, no worries) we would pay and schedule delivery at that point. Sunday arrived, so did we, to our surprise, she was no where to be found because she took the day off. No worries. We'll start over with a new person because I'm sure the previous sales person saved our information of course. She did not. The only relief was not having to deal with the original sales person. She tend to be more partial to my husband’s opinions and dissmisive of mine. I thought it was odd. We pushed on with the process because we wanted beautiful furnishings to highlight our newely built home. Our next sales person had a much better disposition and was attentive to both our needs. We purchased a living room set , dining set, owner suite, 4 lamps and two giant ceiling fixtures for the living and dining area. Our ceilings are 24ft high and require special equiptment, ($300/hr to rent) and of course an electrician. It took 3 tries for RH to send the right pieces to hang the ceiling fixtures--which means 3 times the electrician had to come out and 3 times the special equiptment was brought over and 3 times it cost us. Very disappointing and very exhausting. We finally hung the fixtures and discovered the living room fixture was slightly bent. And yes, we communicated this and up to now, nothing. Our furniture is now in and absolutely beautiful! But, unfortunately we can't live or breath anywhere near these pices because they soil way too easily. Hubby and I regret our choice of white pieces, but no worries because RH has a return, swap, or refund option. I call RH 1800# and was told our choices on hand were either white or neutral, neutral is another shade of white 86 color. Any other color is consider a special order = more money and 4 months out if we're thinking positive. I opted out and requested a refund. I was told only 50% of our money would be refunded for the sectional. I three-way my hubby into the call and he convinced them to make things right by us. She made an executive decision and agreed to refund our money for the return of our dining room set and sectional. I really wish we were given more care and concern during this process. They just didn't see us as a a valuable customer. To end on a positive, our delivery guys, (I wish I asked for their names) were super conscientious and absolutely professional. I had received a large lantern ordered online which was broken during transit. Small slivers of glass were on the box and coming out of the box as I returned it to a local store. Carrying this item into the store with my arms bleeding from cuts on both arms the staff simply stared and continued their busy work and conversations. It wasn't until I dropped the box to the floor did anyone even say a word to me. I stood there pulling glass from my arms as an employee fumbled with paperwork for the return. I had to find a cloth napkin on display to wipe blood off my hands. It's amazing that no one helped, offered assistance or even handed me a paper towel, then stating that the restroom was for employees only. It's the RH product that caused these cuts and yet not one staff member was even pleasant but gawked at me in a kind of disgust. Furthermore, the replacement lantern I received was the wrong one.
I purchased a wall insert medicine cabinet. The first time I took a soft cloth to wipe it down, I wiped some of the polished nickle finish off revealing brass. On calling they said it my own fault because I rubbed it too hard and offered no further assistance or replacement telling me that I didn't read the instructions properly.
Very recently I purchased sconces from the new 'modern' product line. I used my RH credit to purchase 2 single Cannele scones and 3 double Cannele sconces. When the boxes arrived one large box was listed as containing 2 double sconces, but in fact contained only one. I called customer service and politely the sales person said I would be credited back for the missing sconce and re-charged as the replacement was shipped. I have now been charged for 4 double sconces and the replacement was charged at a higher price than what I had paid. Several emails to the company result in brief statements that everything is correct. This additional charge to my credit account exceeds my limit and may incur additional fees.

Read moreThis place is a joke. Spent over $25,000 at this place and finally have received our last piece of furniture A YEAR LATER! What was supposed to be an exciting time for us turned into a nightmare as we received each piece slowly over a year. We have had to return/exchange several items that our so called designer erroneously ordered. We also asked our designer to find accessories, lighting etc., for our living room and dining room but she never even attempted. Said that she wanted to do the bedroom first and would do the rest of it later after she saw how the bedroom turned out. Also said she would design a gallery wall for our bedroom...nope, didn't do that either. The chandelier she chose for the bedroom was hideous! It looked like she was trying to put all the items that would not sell into our house. Some of the items were not even on the website. She also ordered the wrong size nightstands that are way too small and look ridiculous. She was very difficult to get ahold of, and cancelled our final meeting with her several times. We finally told her that we could not cancel anymore meetings and she promptly told us that she could not accommodate us and if we did not meet at the time she wanted we would have to start all over with a different designer. We did not want to delay any longer, so agreed. Our final meeting was extremely rushed as she told us that her mother was visiting from Turkey and she needed to get back to her. I am not very good at decorating so was totally depending on her "expertise" to make my bedroom beautiful. She failed. Her name was Buse.
