We are residents of Avalon and have been clients of Leo's for 25 plus years. My wife has health issues that require some 'controlled substances' because of her chronic pain. While we've very seldom had issues filling any of her prescriptions an understand we're on an island. Sometimes there are supply and delivery issues. We have never been told that the weekend pharmacist is not allowed to fill controlled substances. There is nothing in law that states any restrictions on what can and can't be filled on weekends. Both my wife and myself were told her prescription would be ready today, Saturday 9/27, by the head pharmacist and the assistants in the week prior. Now, according this weekend help he is not allowed nor will he fill it. She'll have to wait until Monday. Now, anyone who has dealt with certain prescriptions know how tightly regulated they are. Often times refills are done the day you run out. Like today for instance, she is out and the next few days will be miserable for her. This particular pharmacist was not only very rude in handling her request he was also very belittling and condescending to my wife. This is unacceptable for any business. He said he's only here for 3 hours and we were taking up his time to fill other orders. His response to her asking what am I to do for the next 3 days was call 911. I'm sorry Leo's, but this person should not be a part of you staff in any capacity. We love everyone we interact with on your staff and have through the years. We feel we've been lied to by this person for his own personal reasons. I hope in the future you screen more carefully the pharmacists that represent...

My husband and I purchased a set of snorkel gear and towels from here, we changed our plans and in an hour went to return these items. They refused to return them due to COVID-19. Owning a business myself, I understand the precautions, but we were never told this ahead of time. I understand policy chance due to the situation at hand. We would not have purchased these items knowing their return policy as it should have been told ahead of time, or at time of purchase, not after the purchase. That falls on the business not the patron. The store was also run down, unorganized and smelled like sewage. I would not recommend this...
Read moreThe older Hispanic front desk lady is extremely rude. Every question i asked her received a response as if I had personally offended her. I get not liking the job you currently hold, but it is still expected that an employee will extend at least basic common courtesy. I felt as if I was not wanted in the store at all, so I guess I'll take my money elsewhere. My wife as well as her mother, who is the manager at the Seaport Village Inn, have both shared the...
