Had the most disrespectful and discriminatory experience in the store. Came into the store in the morning when it opened up to not only look for a gift for my mother's birthday but also to purchase items since I am a personal shopper. I buy items for clients that don't have time to shop and grabed many items that I wanted to purchase. Most items were brand name and final sale prices. Then I noticed that they brought out Burberry, Chloe and other brand handbags. I asked them to hold behind the counter few handbags because I called my mom to come by and pick out the one she likes most. That's when the problem started. Not only was I followed and kept being rushed that I have 30 minutes to pay for the items or put them back, but I was also told they couldn't keep the handbags on hold for me any longer. I didn't see them approach any other person that was shopping to rush them to purchase their items. The excuse was that they get one of each item but not sure how it's different from any other sale they have. Also, not sure why I was being rushed to purchase and make a decision while other people took their time. I was shopping for about two and a half hours but didn't know there was a time limit. And the final straw was that while I was in line to purchase the one bag that I really wanted and had to step out of the line couple of times because I was dealing with something personal on the phone, they sold the bag to someone else. Their excuse was that I was stepping in and out of the line so it was ok to sell the handbag to someone else. I have purchased from this Nordstrom location many times before and never had an issue to hold anything behind the counter while I am shopping. I felt judged and discriminated and when I came home, I contacted their legal department and my lawyer. Perhaps once the lawyer gets the tape of that day to see how often I was approached, how I was rushed and how quickly the bag was sold to someone else even though I never left the store, they can explain why I was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI agree with many of the people who poorly rated this store because of the quality of the menās department.
Considering where this Nordstrom Rack is located, they should have a much better menās selection, especially on mid-tier and designer clothing. But they simply donāt each time I go there. All you see is either lower end brands, some of which you can find in Marshallās for cheaper or somewhat nicer items like Theory but from several seasons ago or made specifically for Nordstrom Rack. And the price point is so ridiculous itās better to look for a more relevant piece at the nearby Nordstrom full line for a similar price. I donāt think I saw any transfers from the main store once, even though the main store is literally within walking distance.
The Wynwood, and especially the Kendall locations actually has much better merchandise for men, as many of their stuff comes from Nordstrom directly.
Having worked this kind of retail in the past, I understand each Nordstrom Rack has their strengths and weaknesses, and the consensus here is the menās department. But the main reason why Iām leaving a bad review on the store, itās that not only it has a poor selection, but the entire department is unshoppable each time I go there. It looks like a tornado went through the Menās department each time I try to shop, and itās annoying to go through XXL sizes on racks knowing that there is S or M (my sizes) clothes mixed in there, every single time. Itās clear the management doesnāt care about that department. Only Nordstrom Rack store in South Florida I feel like the selection is worse is Sawgrass (which also doesnāt make sense based on the location), but they are way better organized. Only reason why Iām not leaving one star is because people praise the womenās clothing and handbags department in this store all the time in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLong review; experience described was more of an isolated incident due to employee inexperience. Otherwise, never has an issue. Well managed & all employees are working very hard to keep the place amazingly clean and organized. Selection is generally the best in Miami-Dade. Below is the original version , just an FYI:āPOV: ended up purchasing several items I didnāt have a moment to consider due to store closure. A week later upon my return from a business trip , I asked my spouse to return those for obviously being unnecessary unused items. He was literally ridiculed by a cashier who has asked him (like why?!) impertinent to return policy questions while making statements and giggling, demonstrating unprofessional behaviour with her colleague. Mind you Iāve been a lifelong Nordstrom customer, 20+ years.. This is arguably my favorite store until I first was politely asked to run to the register even if I knew and was planning to do so prior to closing AND as the result later completely ridiculed (indirectly yet firmly). Seriously though?! I donāt base my reviews on random employee incidents yet those 2 hit way 2 close to home. We live here and itās a beautiful wonderful place. I truly hope this Nordstrom Rack doesnāt follow the suit of latest TJM social media frenzy. Iām questioning every single itemās authenticity. Overall many clueless employees, donāt know their brands .ā As stated above, Iām convinced this was an isolated incident. Hence changed it as otherwise Iāve had 99 percent of exceptional experience here. Sorry to anyone who got confused. I believe that the management has dealt with the employees...
