On behalf of guest A. Martinez
At check in i specifically stated and gave the guest services attendant MY credt card that I wanted to be charged for the stay. (A family member originally booked the stay, and i did NOT want her to be charged at all.) She swiped and gave me back my ID and card. It showed on my statement that there was an authorization for the charges. Everything was taken care of so i THOUGHT. All in all my card wasnt saved to the reservation. I was out and about and with family Friday. When we returned to the hotel (which was late) we went to our room and our keys dont work. AT ALL!! Go back downstairs to the front desk and they told me that they didnt have a card on file, and they tried authorizing it again for 200.00 and 590.00. AND also placed a authorization on the family members card!!(WITHOUT my knowledge, and WITHOUT the decency of a phone call to at least say we made an error. Do you mind stopping by the front desk and providing your card once more? At your convenience. NOTHING). Then to top it all off, when i asked about my keys, the attendant said there was a note not to provide ANY keys till payment was obtained. Which was asinine considering i had full cc auth charges on my statemet and the family member had charges of one nights room and tax (100.00)showing on hers too. I demanded to speak with management showed them my bank statement, and was finally given my room keys
Problem indicated at check in with cc card not being saved to reservation. The next morning after speaking to management they offered breakfast.
Contact phone number and email was on file at time of check in, no one reached out the day of incident, prior to the incident or once they realized a mistake was made on their behalf. The next morning they offered breakfast. Like really??! i felt what they did was sneaky, and just tacky.
We didnt let this experience spoil our weekend, to avoid any other issues with the credit card we paid cash at check out. This also turned out to be our engagment weekend! All in all we had a good trip, spent with famly and friends.
Would we stay at this hotel again? Probably but I would be very specific and would double and triple check to make sure this didn't...
Read moreGood Afternoon if you are AFRICAN AMERICAN I would not recommend this hotel establishment for you. My family of 5 and I bought day passes for the time being to keep us occupied until we caught our flight back home. My little brother was sleep in the pool area and I watched a lady went over and hit his leg very aggressively to wake him up out his sleep by the poolside . She then proceeded to ask him if he was a guest at the hotel and my family and I made it very clear that we were guest. She then said she was doing “her job” and was asking everyone she walked away from us and left, no apology for accusing him of not being guest nor did she apologize for putting her hands on him. Then the 2nd time the police was called by a guest because my father was sleeping by the poolside which we paid for and he was questioned by the police about his whereabouts and he then had to make it clear that we were guest. The police didn’t say anything to the manager they went straight to my father. So we went to the front desk to speak to a “manager” only to find out the lady who aggressively woke my brother up out his sleep was TRACY-ANN C we brought it to her attention that police was called because my father was sleeping by the poolside. At this point she didn’t apologize from racially profiling my brother nor did she apologize for have the police questioning my father as to why he was sleep poolside. We were harassed, We didn’t feel welcome and after that we got our stuff and left to wait outside. One of the staff members came outside to apologize to us because he felt bad about everything that happened& was trying to get us to come back but we didn’t want to. The manager TRACY - ANN was not professional about the situation nor did she ever apologized for anything that happened in her establishment with her racial profiling my brother and then the harassment with the guest calling the police...

The PROS New and Clean Near Highway, Shopping and Dining Ample Lounge Space Great Bar Great Pool Deck Nice Gym In room Iron and Ironing board Free Wifi Internet TV access (must use your own account) Pantry in lobby
The Cons The Overwhelming Scent in the Lobby (it's suppose to make it smell nice but it's just too much) Expensive Valet Parking No microwave No drawer space
Full Disclosure Rooms are nicely appointed with appealing furniture and decor. Bed and Pillows were comfortable. The curtains were great for blocking out the sun so you can sleep in. Bathroom showers are large yet leaky. They should consider adding a clear plastic strip to the opening between the sliding shower doors. There is a very small fridge with 2 small bottled waters upon arrival. You can refill your water and ice at the hydration station in the hallway. The smell of cologne that smacks you in the face as soon as the lobby doors open is highly disrespectful. The lobby itself is very nice with plenty of lounging space, seating and meeting space and a great bar. The smell however (they would probably refer to it as a scent) is enough to make you avoid the entire lobby level. One of my favorite amenities is the wine opener on the wall near the pantry. Every hotel should have this!!! The rooms did have a slight certain old people/cat house odor. It wasn't unbearable but if you have a sensitive nose it will be enough to annoy you so bring a candle. Both the rooms I stayed in had a hard surface floor instead of carpet. This is a plus in my book for cleanliness but not very comfortable. A nice touch would be to provide a cheap pair of slippers the guest can take home with them. Friendly front desk staff was very accommodating except for the manager oddly enough. Short black gentlemen was...
