The person at the desk when we checked in was neither friendly or helpful. The area was dark and hard to see where to go to check in. We were not greeted in a friendly manner. This hotel is poorly managed and the staff is rude. We were stuck on the 10th floor due to a power outage in the area. Obviously the elevators weren’t working and the door to the stairwell was locked. The phone in the room was not working and when we tried using our cell phones to reach the front desk. No one answered. There was no way to communicate. I would think there was a back up plan to communicate to hotel guests in case of a power outage. The bar tender acted like it was a chore to serve us and he certainly did not know how to make common cocktails. Fortunately there were better places to go nearby. There was a large group of guests who brought their own coolers and were drinking alcohol, some of them a bit drunk and loud making sitting in the lounge unpleasant. No staff member asked them to control their behavior. As we were getting on the elevator to go to the pool on Sunday morning someone got on the elevator posting signs the pool would be closed for a private event and we could walk to the AC a few blocks away to use the pool there. No offer of a shuttle. The event wasn’t til later and from what we observed about the set up guests could have used the pool til about 3 allowing staff plenty of time to set up for an early evening event. We called Marriott corporate and spoke to a customer service person who indicated they would comp our stay. When we checked out there was no charge. Two weeks later our credit card was charged for the full amount. We called and were transferred to the manager whose voicemail box was full. We called and spoke to a manager he said he’d only deduct $100 from the bill. This was unacceptable considering what we were previously told and the inconvenience. Then he said he could offer $56 more but that was it. He didn’t care what corporate told us. He said they had no control over the power outage, didn’t apologize and hung up on us, just another example of the rudeness of the staff. It was not a comfortable feeling having the power outage, being stuck on the 10th floor and not receiving any communication from management. The staff could have walked to the floors to inform guests of what was happening. The only good thing during our stay was the...

My family and I attended Family Fun week and Johnson and Wales University October 19th, and chose to stay at the Aloft Adventura for location convenience, hotel cleanliness, and it's variety of fun amenities shown online! But to our surprise we received more than that, we were treated as family not just guest. Our stay was nothing short of a memorable weekend!
To begin we were kindly and professionally greeted by Allen and he gave us an introduction to the hotel amenities and service, he assured us if we needed anything not to hesitant to ask as our happiness was his main priority. We loved the Halloween decorations throughout the hotel, very tasteful, and Allen began making us laugh with his own personal stories from childhood. He checked on us anytime he saw us in the lobby, and he always had a funny joke to share. We loved his friendliness and customer service!
When we arrived in our very clean, modern, and comfortable city view room we were at peace immediately from our 4-hour drive. The area was so beautiful, quiet, safe, and has a variety of restaurants nearby. We chose the right hotel! After a day of activities we made our way to the bar where we were kindly greeted by the handsome Arsenio. He was so well mannered, friendly, and took ginuene interest in all of the guest who sat at the bar. He's so well versed and traveled that he opened our eyes by sharing some of his travel tips and experiences. We talked for what felt like hours, laughing all together, and having a wonderful time! It was the highlight of my night and one of the most exciting bar experiences. I looked forward to returning the next night just to converse with him again!
The next two mornings we had delicious breakfast sandwiches and bowls to go, and had fun "girl talk" with the lovely Alicia and Londra. They were also kind and helpful with any questions we had. This hotel has raised the standard of customer service for all my experiences to come. When I return to the Adventura area the Aloft will be my home away from home.
I highly recommend this location and brand. The individuals who represent this hotel are jewels and I am so thankful to have encountered them all. Thank you Aloft Adventura...
Read moreWe stayed for around 7 nights here and started off with a great but unfortunately it didn’t end up so good.
The lobby is on the second floor which is a little confusing but not really a big deal. This is also where the recreation area, bar, gym and pool are. For security reasons You do need to tap a room key to go up to any of the other floors other than the second floor as well as for the pool and the gym.
The checkin process was fairly easy no issues and the room was a lot bigger than we expected. Beds were clean and comfortable, we had no issue with the cleanliness of the rooms thankfully. One thing to note though is that the coffee area is right next to the bathroom/ toilet which doesn’t seem very sanitary at all and the mini fridge is also located under the sink in the bathroom.
We unfortunately had food go bad because even though the mini fridge was on it was not cooling off at all so we woke up to spoiled food. They were fairly quick to send someone up and fix the fridge though.
The recreation area on the second floor is great! They have a pool table, giant Jenga and a bunch of board games. The pool area was also beautiful and for the most part fairly empty during the first half of our stay.
This is a pet friendly hotel so keep that in mind. The only issue we had with that was the fact that a family decided go bring their dog inside the pool which was disgusting. It took quite a long time for the employees to say something about it even though it says no pets around the pool area. They didn’t bother to close the pool after to clean it
My husband and sister both got ear and eye infections after swimming in that pool which just goes to show the lack of cleanliness and sanitation 🥴
Parking is paid and it is across the street around the corner it is not in the hotel building so make sure you plan accordingly if you have a lot of bags/luggage to carry.
There are a few restaurants around as well as Starbucks which is very convenient. Great...
