A man named Latear (may be spelled wrong) treated me terribly when I was at the office in Avon indiana. I had spent hours on the phone the day prior trying to get my billing issue resolved. After being transferred multiple times the call dropped. So I called the Avon store where I was told I would need to come in person so they could verify my ID and then they could help me. I went in the next day with my 2 small children asking for help and was told they cannot help me and to call 611. Then Latear walked by saying "you seem stressed" but didn't offer me any help or assistance. Just felt the need to point out that I was clearly stressed apparently? I then go to my car and dial the # to find it's the same automated system I was trying to use the day before. I went back inside again asking for someone to help me even if it's on the phone because I was having a hard time. I was explaining the situation to Latear when he began to tell me I needed to leave. I was shocked as I had not raised my voice or said anything disrespectful at all. I was only asking for help with my account and he began talking over me saying, "you can take your call outside. I have people on my floor. Go outside". Mind you it's 20° outside and I have 2 small kids with me. I told him I was not leaving until my bill was corrected and sat down at a seat nearby and then he left me alone. The interaction with the man really upset me and I spent the next 3hrs on the phone with customer service, crying. Nobody asked if I was ok or needed help at all during that time. At some point, I saw they began to assist another customer with calling the customer service number, as I stood there receiving no service at all. Of course I had no luck with the customer service # provided. It was the same issue as the day prior where I just keep getting transferred until the call drops. After 3hrs with no luck on the phone or assistance from office staff I gave up and left. Nobody said a word to me as I left building. Now I'm stuck in a contract paying way more than what was originally agreed upon and cannot get anyone to help me. Read moreMy son was in the week before the new phones came out. He wanted to get some information about the new series. He also was interested in changing our account to his business account. They could not do this as his name was not on account. But gave him all the other information on cost and what needed to be done. I then went in with him the evening before the release. We talked with an employee who gave us the information took my information then told us as it was 7:30 when we arrived that we would have to come back not enough time to do the transaction. We did talk with him until after 8:00. We then returned my son wanted to try on try on the watch. We were told no way possible.My son mentioned Best Buy. The employee said oh yeah go try it and I’ll be right here waiting for you. We did went right back. Again we were told we would have to come back, computers shut down. We both work so we can only come in the evening. So the 3rd time I’ve been there in less than a week and the 4th. time for my son. It’s busy, but we are waited on quickly. My son told the employee, we had actually been talking to the man on the phone about what we needed, Deacon. The employee said he’s tied up I can help you. My son explained everything again.Employee said I don’t think you need to do all that.I think we can save you money without going to a corporate account. My son sent him the email Deacon had sent him with the prices and details. Employee then kept figuring and figuring , then proceeded to tell us he couldn’t help us. It would take at least 2 and 1/2 hours to do this. Needless to say I ask why no one ever told us this?? Well he didn’t know but he couldn’t do anything. Read moreThe manager doesn’t do a thing unless he thinks he’s making a sell. I came in a day after buying a new phone with some concerns and to return my old phone and waited for about an hour while he sat around. I came in and he asked why I was there I explained I needed to return my old phone and I have some adjustments that need made on my account. He explained they were short handed which I said wasn’t a problem and that I understand. After he sat around for 30mins another customer came in asking about adding another line. And he was quick to help. Once more customers came in and he had a line he attended to me and tried to help but it was apparent that he was trying to shorten the line. None of my issues were attended to. I left after he answered the phone in the middle of our conversation which I’m not upset about. I’m upset that he sat around doing nothing for a half hour until another customer came in to buy a phone. He was only focused on making a sale instead of making sure his customers were happy. Even the person he was selling to knew he was eager to sell them a phone as I heard her say as he went to the back “he really wants to sell me a phone”. Even then I understand and don’t care I just noticed the difference between his customer service and his employees. A women named Melissa helped me the day before with getting my phone and she was wonderful and overly helpful. I submitted a survey praising her. But this man was not focused on helping anyone but himself. I wish I remembered his name to warn others all I know is that he was a tall bald man that told me he use to work for roche pharmaceuticals.
