On 10/18/2024, My Wife and I were out and about celebrating our 29th Wedding Anniversary. After already having had dinner, we spotted this cool Café "AZUCANELA" at the corner of Foothill Blvd. and Soldano Ave. in Azusa. So needless to say, my Wife happened to be in the mood for a fresh ground jolt. So we strolled in and had the pleasure of meeting Owners and Partners Paola and Stevie, as she called him. What I also thought cool was we also got to meet her Dad, who was there visiting, and were introduced to him, a nice Gentleman. When we shared that this was our first time there or as I referred to it, " First time! Long time! " And that's because we'd driven past their attractively painted in-and-out shop a few times the last couple of months saying, "We need to drop into this little place". On this day, I'm glad we did because the first thing you notice is the Classic Cuban-Latin music that pleasantly fills the full interior of the shop which truly boosts the coffee mood. Paola took the time to ask what we thought we liked and then she introduced us to what we might give those older choices up for some new out-of-this-world flavors and smells of how freshly brewed coffee should taste like. And boy, she wasn't kidding. My Wife had the double Espresso and I was introduced to what is called 'Café Cortado'. These coffees are those that make your socks roll up & down when they hit your bloodstream. I'm also glad to say we will be back in Azusa on 11/04 and have already made plans to stop in again, before leaving our new 'Go-To!' for the morning Jolt... Thank you Paola and Steve for introducing us to coffee flavors head and shoulders above the rest. We wish you both continued success as you achieve it poured out one cup at a...
Read moreFound this place on Yelp when looking for Churros and man did this place PULL THROUGH!! Their churros are thick, a proper âbaked goodâ and delicious!! They are fresh and brought out nice and warm. The cinnamon taste is perfect too!
Let me back up, we arrived in their small lot (they have their own parking lot) and walked around to the front (nice outdoor seating). Then once we went inside, we were greeted warmly and the guy was so nice he also let us sample churro sauces because we were having a hard time deciding!
In the end, I chose original because as good and tasty as the sauces were, I always appreciate good âol cinnamon churros by itself ($6 for 3 original churro sticks). However, if you need a sauce recommendation, the Abuelita Chocolate and freshly made Raspberry sauce were the best two!
Inside is nicely decorated and bright and colorful! Itâs really quaint inside and gives a welcoming atmosphere.
My husband got the Cafe de Olla coffee and it was sooo good (only $4)! The cinnamon taste was not overpowering and coffee was not sour.
We definitely will be returning to try more menu items and for the delicious coffee and...
Read moreDonât bother with this business ,coffee taste like water, butter bread goes for 11 bucks which is a rip off, they are slow and rude takes them 1 hour to give u 2 lattes and a butter bread with no customers at all waiting for no other drinks only 2 that weâre sitting but they had their drinks already, I spoke to them and they had same complaint that took them forever to get served and Cynthia being rude. Run from this business unless u like to give money away. Cynthia is rude her mother probably didnât teach her manners. Very expensive not worth it run. Posting receipt so u all can see what I bought and the price I paid to be given water and tiny bread for 17 bucks totaling 36 bucks for 2 medium lattes this place being empty should have been a red flag for me as well. Donât let the churros fool you probably other customers say itâs good because of the churros but remember its sugar and sugar is always good to the world. Read reviews and how many say that the coffee is delicious not...
