Superior Grocers — Local services in Bakersfield

Very large market with many specialty international food products in diffrent areas of the store including many other great services from money transfer money gram lottery tickets clothing in smaller boutique shops inside of grocery store directly and not to forget the very helpful staff and crew that run the location .... but my favorite is to stop by the deli for some fresh hot carnitas to pick up for a nice taco or burrito nite including there ceviche which has always been well prepared and very tasty and fresh everytime I've purchased it great family oriented neighborhood Grocery store and for those bbq moments they have a nice sized beer cave that holds many diffrent kinds of beer and other spirits for adults definitely reccomend this store if yo ur in the area or just passing through and need something for a picnic outing at the park with the family or...

As I'm waiting to check out the lady in front of me was paying with food stamps and she was being charge for bags the state of California states clearly that there is no charge on grocery bags for people that are low income it's so sad to see how she was being redirect next time to tell the cashier that is a employees responsibility not a consumer's responsibility their system needs to be generated so it picks up food stamps and it should zero those bags out I don't know if to consider this a discrimination because of the color of the older African-American person or because she was paying with food stamps the manager still reply to her that next time it's her responsibility to awa employee so sad to see this type of situation hopefully this grocery store will...

This is not the kind of grocery store I was used to. This place has a good deal of fresh cooked foods and something like a Hispanic deli. Their cold, fried chicken is outstanding. They have specialty foods and things I've not been able to find elsewhere. It's was clean, well stocked and pleasant to shop in. They actually have carts. Learn a little Spanish and go get some guacamole. All the prepped food I bought was delicious. And everything else I wanted, I found. I gave it four stars for that. Downsides..no place to park and secure a bike. It's across the street from the DHS..I got accosted by people asking for money 3 times in the parking lot. Upsides..it on a major bus line and the food is awesome. Worth it. Just don't...
