I was a bit underwhelmed by the restaurant's appearance, as it didn't seem very clean and everything appeared to be coated in a greasy haze (e.g. the front door, the bathroom door knob, the credit card machine & the condiment bottles/containers seemed most affected during my visit). As for the food, I ordered the cod fish & chips plate that set me back a little less than $18 (before taxes) & included seasoned fries that were hot, just fried, perfectly seasoned & yummy, as well as 4 pieces of cod that measured anywhere between 3"- 4.5". Unfortunately, the cod was so bland -- the batter was golden on the outside, but runny or the inside. In fact, I kind of convinced myself that the piece I started with hadn't been cooked until done, as the fish didn't have the firm, flaky texture that cod is known for. I ate only half of one piece, as my stomach began to verbally protest the thought of swallowing another flavorless & soggy bite of room-temperature fish. However, all might not yet be lost, as I plan on throwing the leftovers into my air fryer; it's my hope the air fryer might exorcise some of the "meh" from this meal.
I would like to point out that my experience is likely an unusual one; after my parent & I ordered and sat down, a group of 4 came in to dine, as well as a gent dining solo. I realize this isn't exactly record-breaking numbers, but considering it was around 3:00 pm on the 2nd Friday of the month at a seafood restaurant that easily set this particular awesome & loving daughter back a whopping $65 (not including tax or tip) for 2 orders of fish & french fried potatoes -- well, it says something that other patrons arrived to eat their food, too. And hey, if those folks were happy spending their hard-earned cash on Crab in a Bag's pricey-ish food, then it's likely Crab in a Bag's food is exponentially more tasty than what was my experience on that single day ...

Read moreWe've been loyal customers here and always order the family pack. Our food has always come out quickly. Today, for my birthday celebration, all I wanted was to eat here—but that didn’t happen.
We were the first family to walk in and placed our order. About 10 minutes later, another family arrived, ordered, and received their food within five minutes. At this point, we started wondering what was going on. When we asked about our order, the girl at the front had an attitude every time we inquired.
What finally did it for us was when a large family walked in, ordered, and received their food within 10 minutes—including a family pack, just like we ordered. By then, we had been waiting 50 minutes. When we brought this up, the girl kept making excuses, saying our order was taking longer because it was a family pack. But when the large family received the same order in a fraction of the time, that excuse no longer made sense.
To make matters worse, when we asked for a refund, both the girl and the boy at the front refused, insisting they could only issue a gift card. We had spent nearly $150 and had no desire to come back. The girl claimed they would be "off" if they refunded us—not our problem. They needed to make it right. Eventually, when the register opened, they had no choice but to refund our money.
To top it all off, when we asked for a manager, suddenly, there wasn’t one available.

Read moreThis was my second time here. The first time food, service and atmosphere were great. Today @ 1240 4/5/24 I came to grab some calamari. I had a patient at 1 pm so when I was near I called in my order. The young Hispanic female with glasses said “can you hold” I said sure. I waited on hold expecting to see the parking lot full by the time I got there. There were two cars in the parking lot. I walked in still on hold with the back round music. The employee was on the ground playing with a child ( not a big deal) she got up and said “can I help you” I said yes lol I was on hold, I’m still on hold, I was trying to place a to go order, she disregarded what I said and said “can I help you” I said I would like to place an order, she said to go or for here. I said to go. She took my order, my payment, she walked to the back made my order and bagged it no washing of her hands at any time. I took the bag and said thank you, she said “mmmhmm” I took the bag and walked out. Got in my car and the Portion was a lot smaller than last time. Super disappointed in customer service.
