Wienerschnitzel — Restaurant in Bakersfield

Update: 4-22-22 Had to go to Culligan down the street. We always stop at this Wienerschnitzel...OMG my wife said her fries were smoking hot (mine also). The owner has his cooking times down to an art form...The Chili Cheese dogs were Hot, and had a lot of Chili on them. I even shouted to him as he went to check his car "You are the best"...and he is...Best Wienerschnitzel I have ever been to..."every time I visit"

I had to go to a water softening company down the street, so I stopped here for lunch...OMG this is the "best" Wienerschnitzel I have ever been to. I remember my food was the "best" six years ago, when I went to the same softener company for parts. Wienerschnitzel is a long standing chain most people in the USA are familiar with. A hot dog stand originally and they haven't changed much. I was there recently and they were trying out a pastrami sandwich which they served on rye bread. I didn't care for the taste of the pastrami. Oddly enough my go to when I eat at Wienerschnitzel is the hamburger they offer. I usually have that and a hot dog. No indoor dining there so I recommend using the drive thru. The outside tables are vulnerable to the weather conditions that day or night. It gets busy on occasion but I've never had to wait long. This particular store on Niles St. has been there for a long time. I'd guess 50...

I don’t usually go to this location anymore because they are just not that great and they sometimes use old food. Like today I had went and ordered chili cheese dogs and the hotdogs were literally old and tough on one side like it was old and sitting there for hours. I also don’t like how any of the people cooking don’t use gloves at all. They just make everything with no gloves. Also the older man did not gave me my card in the drive thru and when I asked he said I had it and then somehow “found it” across the entire store at the walk up window register even though I was charged in the drive thru and had my receipt already.
