P Street Tires — Local services in Bakersfield

Honestly everyone I knows goes to p street so doing this is not something I want to do but it needs to be done the reason this isn’t a 1 star is because of the people minus the owner which is usually fair but this last time he was not I went for all 4 of my tires to be swapped to new rims I also had adapters that went on for the wheels rewind to the time before this I came bought 4 brand new tires and 2 studs because my were rough when they put my rim back on they stripped the new studs I came back mind you I never removed the wheels so I didn’t know they were stripped they took them off and told me these are stripped bad whoever put this on forced it and cross threaded it this is their words so I told them you guys put them on literally brand new studs I payed 40$ for didn’t even have them for a month so I talked to the owner and he said well it’s stripped you have to buy new ones even though I explained they are new from his tire shop he didn’t care and said well you still have to buy new ones so I did cause I wasn’t going to leave on 3 lug nuts and studs another 40$ and the price they charged to change the tires from rim to rim and put the spacers on which isn’t much mind you charged me 180$ not counting the 40$ so basically I payed for 2 new tires so point is just cause your friends recommend a tire shop go based off your experience and my experience was horrible considering I spent about 800$ in one month at this tire shop so now I will be going to big John’s tires from this point on or I will go to pacific but never again will I go to p street oh almost forgot they put my adapter on but didn’t put the lug nuts and another dude walked up and put the rim on the adapter that had no lug nuts only reason my new rims didn’t fall off and tear my fender off was because of me I told him that one wasn’t put on fully so if you continue to go to this tires shop watch what they do because they make huge mistakes that shouldn’t be made oh and I wasn’t there for 4 hours or more with my daughter chilling on a hot day and they didn’t want anyone in the car so I couldn’t have her in the car with ac which I would have I never had any tire shop tell me i can’t have my kid in the car with ac it’s not like it went on a lift 6 ft in the air the car was a foot off the floor so do with this information as you will but I’m officially done with p...

Friendly staff and cool shop but unfortunately bad experience . One tire they put on was good but the other tire was some shady work . Obviously dry rotted and chunks of rubber missing from the edge . tire was mounted backwards aka outside sidewall said inside and inside said outside but i’m sure that was to hide the damage from being seen if you looked at it from the side of the car . i did have a stripped stud and they were nice enough to catch a thread and mount a new lug nut but what they did not inform me of was cutting off a decent bit of my stud to catch threads . i understand they were putting the effort to mount all 5 lugs but that’s just something you inform the customer of before doing . I went back to let them know that one of the tires was bad and mounted inside out . employee agreed that the tire was messed up but talked to the boss about it and he denied any work and said the tire was good . A nice shop that i was looking forward to support but the way this interaction went , i wouldn’t buy used tires from them again .

These guys are Awesome! For one thing, they stay open until 7pm!!! They are about their money and helping customers. I was helped quickly and with a friendly demeanor. The gentleman was fast and very helpful in getting my flat tire repaired. I also got a fantastic deal on new rims and tires for my pickup truck. I can't wait to get them on. They beat out ALL the other tire shops by a landslide and their selection was extensive. The place may look small but they are BIG on service, quality and deals! I highly recommend these folks to...
