Ray's Food Place — Local services in Bandon

Your problem with my local store has nothing to do with your product, well maybe your generic product, or your employees. It has everything to do with how you have begun to treat your best employees and your customers. I work for a corporation so I understand about cutting expenses. However, your small town, Port Orford store has lost business because of your practices. You raise your prices so high it is more affordable for people in our community to travel an hour either way to shop. You fire your best employees because they purchase discounted products? You consider what they did theft? Your representative walked into our store and couldn't identify one of these employees even though they claimed to view the video?? Shame on you, I will not walk in your store unless it is completely, 100 % unavoidable. I will drive to the nearest town, 26 miles either way, before I shop...

Saw the worst looking rock fish today at this store, fresh rockfish comes to Bandon twice a week from Charleston, Tuesday and Friday, this means that this is most likely 5 days old!!! Considering it was Wednesday when I saw this, if it had been brought in Tuesday the day before it would still be super fresh and not obviously bad like this, literally was turning weird colors and curled up on the ends...another thing Rip Off Rays does is leave out the date packed information on label, you will never know how old their fish, meat etc is..another reason to avoid Rip Off Rays, highest priced store in Bandon..McKays on other hand has the packed on date their label, why dosent Rays? So they can sell you week...

Our Thanksgiving dinner was ruined thanks to Ray's. We bought a bone in ham and on Thanksgiving day when we went to put it in the oven it didn't smell quite right. Checked the package and it was a week past pull date. Although we did get our money back, we didn't get much of a Thanksgiving dinner.

At the same time we bought this ham, we had looked at a cheesecake in the deli. Supposedly it was frozen. The crust sure looked freezer burnt so we didn't buy it. There was no expiration date on the cake. When I mentioned it to the manager after Thanksgiving, he acted like I was nuts. It had been frozen so therefore it should last forever. I for one have not been back to this store and will never go...
