Hannaford — Local services in Bar Harbor

I've just come out of there planning on getting groceries but they don't allow my service dog in there. That is pretty offensive. I have a letter from my Dr saying I need him to be where I need him to be to service me. I was just in there this morning dropping off a RX for the same dog. They don't mind the business for him. We are visitors in Bar Harbor. We just come from eating lunch in a lovely restaurant downtown and they welcomed us with him. So all I can say is if you are handicapped and need a service dog don't plan on going in Hannaford with it. They aren't handicapped friendly. Probably another one of them places that have been ruined by people who use the fake service animals. Sorry I even had to give...

Worse service the cashier seemed bothered to take care of me. She let me wait while doing paperwork, expected me to bag my groceries ( which I usually do) but she just stared at me and look down at my groceries..oh can I have the bloody chicken in a plastic bad before putting it in my bag..please! She made a Sly remark..and handed it to me,, not put it in but handed it to me. Now half the time this does not bother me. But it was the way she did it. Has America/ Maine forgotten why people have a job? If a customer does not shop in the store there is no business. It might be Bar Harbor and lots of summer business..but I am a native. I will go to the Acadia market or...

Not all staff are wearing masks (wearing a mask around your neck does not provide any protection).

Some staff at this location are only wearing tiny chin mounted mouth shields. Face shields provide less protection to those around you than a mask. To make them more protective for the wearer and those around them a cloth can be draped from the bottom of the shield. (The California Department of Public Health makes this recommendation in their "Guidance for the Use of Face Coverings" in a note for people who cannot wear a mask due to medical reasons.)

Please consider updating your policy to use protection methods that provide more protection for your employees...
