I was incredibly disappointed in this visit. Two Cats was recommended to us by several different people and the reviews were excellent. And maybe it was just a bad morning for the restaurant. We were seated pretty quickly at 9am on a weekday. We ordered coffee and water while looking at the menu. It took 15 minutes for the coffee to come out (coffee tasted like Folgers, not awesome) and another 25 minutes for our breakfast order to appear. Truth be told, I think the restaurant was short staffed, our waiter had too many tables and he just forgot to put the order in to begin with (he came back about 15 minutes after taking our order to "confirm our order".) My wife ordered the blueberry pancakes and I ordered eggs, biscuit, and hashbrown potatoes. The pancakes were cooked all the way (the inside was still soupy), my potatoes weren't cooked all the way, they were still very hard and the scrambled eggs were runny. I'm guessing that, in order to make up time for forgetting to put the order in, they just didn't cook as long as they should have. When I pointed out the uncooked pancakes, the server said he would talk to the kitchen about it. He came back and said the kitchen claimed that's how homemade pancakes are cooked. I asked him if we could just swap the uncooked pancakes for a bagel and he made the switch. I ate the biscuit (the strawberry butter was excellent) but couldn't stomach the rest of the food. To their credit, they comped the entire breakfast (I didn't ask for that, they did it on their own). That being said, I still feel like I overpaid. The Clifbar I had in the car was the best part...
Read moreOverall, kinda good ambiance and great sausage. Service and food may vary. The bathroom can get backed up fast as it’s a common toilet for people. Also, don’t sit inside.
We sat inside and they kept running this blender. The blender has a cycle which it turns on and off automatically until the cycle is completed. Each time I tried to talk to my daughter, this blender would go off and each time I would wait for it to stop and I started talking again, again the blender would start up. I thought I was being linked and we moved to an outside table.
We ordered an omelet and blueberry pancakes. After the food was brought out, the waitress asked us how it was and my omelette was way overcooked and she made no reply or offer for this overcooked dish.
My daughter asked me to try her dish, to me, it seemed undercooked. I was not sure though as each side was golden brown and the pancake was not thick. Still it was a weird texture for her and me, but she ate only 1 of the 2 pancakes.
I did get one initial cup of coffee and I had to ask for a second cup. Also the check can only be paid by the waitress. I found out when we needed to leave but the waitress was not around and the cashier at the front redirected me to our waitress.
I would still go back for the sausage and maybe try the scrambled eggs next time, but the hype is overrated for 2 cats and there are plenty of other places to try...
Read moreThe best breakfast I’ve had in a really long time!!! Also not crazy expensive for as fresh and amazing as it is. Fresh and delicious takes time, and it was both. So be patient. Good things come to those that wait. Fluffy melt in your mouth pancakes (they don’t need butter or much syrup) with mucho saweettttt Maine bliuberries; mild smoked salmon benedict popping with shallots and herbs on fluffy cut-with-a-fork homemade biscuits, topped with perfectly poached eggs. You can eat like a slice of cake! Flavorful home fries with just a little spice that doesn’t intrude. And yes, the coffee is fresh, mild, and tastier than 90% that I’ve had. Fresh squeezed grapefruit juice was delicious!! I got there upon their opening at 630, greeted warmly with a smile on the little front lawn filled with flowers and colorful decor. Open doors, bright, airy, and home-like, fresh air, and relaxing music Tyler was my amazing server, with time to talk and answer questions while easily staying on top of things and keeping me informed about my meal, but everyone was on top of coffee, bussing, etc, despite the fact their little army was getting ready for a busy morning. 2 Cats, I wish I could have your breakfast everyday!! (So I got some to go biscuits and things for my roadtrip to...
