JCPenney — Local services in Barboursville

We were at this store Friday June 6th at around 4:30pm and were shocked of how bad the staff is, never ever seen before. We found 2 rings we liked that was 55% off, however, one did not have a price tag so we asked an employee who told us it was 12 something, when we went to pay it at the general counter the employer just told us he doesn't work at that department who it was up to us to find the answer (terrible), so we did as told and went to the jewelry department where the lady just said she was going to charge the ring without a label the same price as the other one (knowing we probably would be paying more). We asked and told her it wasn't really right and that she should check the right price, she asked us if we knew how to do that (in a sarcastic way) and we replied that it is not our job. She proceeded to be even more confrontational. She then said she "checked" and it was actually the "same" price as the other ring so we accepted and paid. Later a 2 second research on the website show me that the actual pride was 11 dollars and not 15. So she also lied about having checked. It's not about the 4 dollars we paid more than we should have, it's the deplorable, terrible and unacceptable customer service. It needs to change as soon as possible, we are not going back to that...

I love love love JC Penny and I think that they are awesome! Love there new style and everything they have done with the changes to their branding and everything else that comes along with it! They have great Business style that also keeps up with the current fashion trends! They are on a comeback!!! Keep it up!! The only thing they need is new marketing progranm to let people know about the new Penny's! The team that they have now needs to be fired! ! But other than that they have great style now, which is wayyy better than they had...

I've been shopping at JCPenney for about 60 years. As a child, my mom brought us to JCPenney for clothes. I still shop here for their great Big and Tall clothes. I always find a good buy, especially on the closeout racks. Sometimes I order online. If I have to return, just bring it to the store. Employees are always friendly and helpful. If you use their credit card, you can usually get a discount even over and above sale prices. I shop at both the Huntington store and the one inside the Charleston mall. Both are very nice. Great...
