Hibachi Master — Restaurant in Barboursville

I have literally been to the best 5 star Michelin rated Chinese restaurant in NY. I also like strip mall, Styrofoam box combo meal carryout. So I have a decent frame of reference. I will give this place one big plus. They do make the "sushi" rolls fresh to order. The overall quality of the food on our visit (a Thursday night at 730pm), was marginal. The young people working are pleasant and do thier best, so it is not on them. But this is a mall food counter, in middle of the road mall in WV, you have to know what to expect. The food is delicious but one of the cooks (Alex) is super rude and he and another cook will speak spanish and talk about people in line. I know some Spanish and recognized what they were saying. He cooks everything well done, despite asking for medium rare or medium. He has made fun of my voice on several visits and repeatedly made me shout how I wanted my steak cooked, yet ignored what I requested, and the woman near me spoke quieter than I did and he never asked her over. We ordered a combination and egg roll. When my wife went to pick it up they stacked two on top of each other. She sat down and began to eat they yell at her 5-6 minutes later to come back up there because they had given her an extra order by mistake. They made her bring it back up there and give it back. Customer service was not good and it’s embarrassing to have to “return” the order. Then they blamed her to the other individual who did not get the order.
