Marshalls — Local services in Bardstown

I was met in the store by a guy that I assumed was the manger. He commented on how full my cart was and I said “it’s always like this, I love this store” he told me that he appreciated me and that I could have 10% off today for being such a good customer. I thanked him repeatedly and he said just tell them up front I said to give you the discount. When I went upfront I told them and I was told I had to sign up for a credit card to get it. I explained to them that the guy said I would just get it for being a good customer. She called him over and he said in order to get the discount I had to sign up for the credit card. I was shocked and embarrassed. A credit card was never mentioned to me. I was so excited to receive a random act of kindness and finding out it was linked to him trying to get more commission really upset me. I love this Marshalls and always shop there but this interaction left me feeling hurt...

Pretty decent store with good sale prices but the children’s department is pathetic and the boys clothes? Almost nonexistent! Was looking forward to getting my son a nice dressy outfit for church and other functions. They had 3 button up shirts in his size, only one was dressy. My teen daughter loves the junior department choices, esp the big selection of the XS size clothing. Love the shoes, purses and make up/bath selections and great prices there. I had a great experience when i first started working at Marshall’s, However, the management of this team is very money and card hungry and will hire anyone regardless of how rude they are. i had a man disrespect me, by the name of chris, and i was not defended one time.
